As someone who also just did their first exhaust wrap. I also made the mistake of doing it in my bed lmao. In my defense, I forgot this clip, the garage was a mess with a transmission rebuild halfway through (aka exploded on the floor), no free space on the desk because it was taken up by a engine harness project, and I didn't want to sit on the floor . You're not alone Jay, I know the pain, satisfation of completion, then immendiate regret of my decision.

off the top of my head the 454 LSX came out in the 2011 ZL1 camaro
Cheers. It's a completely aftermarket LSX. It's based on a Chevy LS7 design.
I've never liked those awful metal cable ties they give you with exhaust wrap, locking wire works much better and is much easier to get tight 👌

Out of curiosity, would you prefer going with the header wrap on a track car over the ceramic coating similar to the Lambo? Curious since i'm building a C5 currently and trying to figure out what to do header heat wise to not burn up plug wires and such. Haven't had a lot of luck with header wrap lasting, so was debating on going Swaintech, similar to Zircotec i believe, but don't have experience with it.

Header wrap is cheap, it will absorb oil, so there is a risk of fire. Ceramic coating is far more effective, plus decent plug wire jackets 👌
i suspect its probably just to do with the time frame since donington is this weekend and lz fest is next weekend
I would have Zircotec coated this if I had time. The reason I had to redo the exhaust wrap was because it set on fire after brake fluid dripped on it. It is essentially a wick.

After having the lambo exhausts heat coated,just wondered why you havernt done the same with the 86?
I didn't have time, and it needs a bit of extra work for ground clearance if I was going to do a posh coating on it.
