Dude I'm so glad you are back doing hatcam stuff...I've missed it bro! That is the best "inexpensive " way to get in to the hobby I TOTALLY agree. There are so many cheap options that are toy grade and a hot mess. That thing shows a new pilot experimenting with Do I or Don't I want to dive in to this hobby how good it is...rather than being a mess and leaving a bad first impression. Great video brother and as always your enthusiasm is SO obvious! Love it! 😁😁
Thank you so much Adam for the very kind words brother! I'm super stoked that you (and others) actually like the hat-cam approach to RC life...I have fun with it and I'm glad it shows! This little plane actually kinda grows on you - seriously. I had one when they first came out and was totally under-whelmed. NOW, I found one recently as a BNF, a good price, and I couldn't be happier! Shot quite a few videos with it which will slowly be trickling in on the channel. Thanks again for the good words and I look forward to what you and Heidi have in store from Team Gault 🤠👍😎!!
Hey there Rodger! I am totally humbled by your comments...seriously. If I can bring someone a smile or a laugh, then I think the video was a success. Thanks so much my brother for checking in, all the best to you and your family!
Thanks my friend, I do too! With increased Gov't encroachment in the hobby, stupid-crazy prices, and really just the overall economic value and great flying quality of these little planes, it all makes sense! You can have twice as many of these in your collection as the larger planes, fly them in more places, yada, yada. Cheers my brother, hope all is well with you!
Sweeeeeet video about the Sport Cub micro. I wasn't flying planes for a couple years, Heli's only (MISSED PLANES BAD). So I got the S2 to relearn to fly fixed wing, LOL! Now I still fly it for fun, with 2" Dubro Super light wheels!
That's awesome my friend! She's a fun little plane for sure! I'll bet she's a good bush plane on those Dubro Super lights. Happy landings and all the best brother!
Great video John, looks like a fun little flyabout. I can't remember why I never purchased one. It may have been because I liked flying the yellow HZ umx T-28S so much. Lots of stories with that one. Hey!!, do you have one?? ;-). AirHammer out!!
Hey there my friend! Yeah, these little Cubs are perfect knockabout planes for nice calm days. Never did get the UMX T-28, but I did see one at a hobby store...might have to pick one up! These little guys are still available, I got this one as BNF for a great price! Blue skies and all the best to you brother 🤠👍😎
Glad to hear you got one! BUT, yeah, she's definitely a calm wind plane for sure. I'd wait for a nice morning or late evening with no wind. You'll love it!
My brushed motor was shot after several flights so I rather than buying a new motor I replaced everything with 2S brushless motor, receiver, and battery. It's now 19 grams heaver and a lot more power. Because of the extra power and more weight it will fly better on a breezy day. Wish these people would quit with the brushed motors altogether.
I hear you Jack about the brushed motors. I've actually never had a problem with them, and have several models still flying on them. That said, the 2s power system in the UMX Carbon Cub and others is a great system! All the best my friend and thanks for checking in!

Love your vids...a bright spot right now with the stuff going on in the world. Fly on John!

Cool. I see the popularity of this size growing!

You cannot stop giggling and smiling with a UMX Model in the backyard.
Problem is They love to land in the Highest tree.
Beauty JWI.
HAH! Indeed my brother, indeed! Just keep 'em away from the UMX magnets (aka trees) and you're good to go! Thanks mate!
Definitely sounds like a fun day.
Absolutely my friend!

Hello! Wonderful video! Is it possible to connect a flysky fi-6x transmitter to this airplane? Greetings from Mexico City.

I am not sure my friend. I will research and get back with you!
I finally got one but I’m worried about how it will do with the wind. Especially here in Texas
Glad to hear you got one! BUT, yeah, she's definitely a calm wind plane for sure. I'd wait for a nice morning or late evening with no wind. You'll love it!
I still use her electronics to this day in my own rc models, may the poor little fuselage rest in peace.
I hear you Biko...the little Sport Cub lives on!

I couldnt agree more!!
Thanks brother! Yessir, this is just the ticket for backyard (or even front yard!) cruising on a calm evening...
