I love that I can use the wrong size wrench for a bolt spending a couple minutes letting the glue dry when I could get the correct size wrench in seconds
Tell me about it. That one, like many other of these so-called tips was so stupid.
If you have that correct size... Not everyone has every size they need. Or some people like to take tools. It's handy for someone. Lucky for you you obviously have everything you might need.
I feel like given any real resistance that glue would shred up anyway.

Yea aluminum has a quite low ignition temperature and a shortage could cause easy an fire.

Anyone that wants to lubricate a hinge.. don't use wd40 as it dries out and you have to do it again and again. Use furniture polish the wax stays behind and it will take years before it squeaks again.

@@Ianhatchlius Even then wd40 works fine. Its a penetrating oil so itl clear the rust and puts a layer on to keep it clear of rust and corrosion which is the main reason why it would make noise in the first place.
Sure wax stays behind, but it does nothing for the longevity of the metal, and it builds and becomes a pain to clean with all the crap it collects overtime.

Do not EVER dip copper electrical wires in melted aluminum can. Use a torch/soldering iron and electrical solder if you need to give stranded wire solid ends.

Yeah, that looked rather sketchy. Especially considering that a poor copper to aluminum electrical connection is a risk for fires.
Agree. It’s dangerous, and deprecated, as aluminum and copper make a thermopair, it could start a fire if you apply enough current
I mean aluminum has a lower melting point. You can always substitute the aluminum for copper and apply the same tactics...
Not everyone has a smelter rated for brass and copper - but agreed with the concept you highlighted.
No don't use solder as well. One should always use connectors suited for the job or a crimping tool. Soldering isn't a safe solution to deal with stranded ends in a home application. That might be Suitable if you work with low voltage/amp appliances

WD 40 is not a lubricant, its a water displacer (WD) it will over time turn to varnish and gum up the works.
It IS however a great solvent for mastic and stickum, it won't harm most surfaces but will remove tape residue.

Drill halfway from one side then turn it over and drill from the other side

Lol right!? I assume that was just demonstrating how the tool worked. I loved filling the jar w spray foam for no reason. And making the ball only using the tool on one side of the wood lol. Also the melting a coke can to tin the home electrical wires w aluminum. So many things wrong there. Aluminum has a lower melting point than copper so will melt, create a short, and start a fire. Dissimilar metals so will oxidize/corrode much faster. Home electrical is way too much voltage for aluminum or solder. Just use wire nuts or the proper connectors. This video is going to kill stupid ppl lol

Some of the things are more than sketchy. The wires in aluminum, the wires with the screw for example. Do not ever play with electricity without the dedicated parts when you want to minimize the risk of burning down your place. Wago connecters are not that expensive and they are foolproof.

That's hot glue, for a lot of these ( that aren't stupid or down right dangerous ) you can also use a thermoplastic like polymorph. There are better ways to do most of the hacks in this video though.
