The hand claws are called tekagi-shuko. The wish ones are extremely poorly made. They were indeed used for climbing, but they were also used for attacking and defending.

The hand and foot spikes are used in conjunction while climbing. The foot spikes can also be used with the Grappling hook to scale walls. I am, however, quite entertained. lol 😂

@@Zaque-TV because it's a product from wish. The damn thing could come loose from the rope or it's construction could be poor and it could easily strike him in the face. Or, him trying to pay attention to what's going on with his filming could cause him to hit himself. He should at least be wearing some kind of eye protection.

That's because he doesn't read the instructions.
Hand hooks, not meant for climbing, they're a weapon and you have them on backwards. The hooks go on the back of the hand and they're meant to be used to capture and block a blade. It's a common misconception that they're meant for climbing, often marketed as "ninja climbing claws" but those are weapons. A climbing claw does exist, but the pikes stick straight out and are not curved.

@@thanasis-_- Um...as a trained swordsman, who has taught kendo for fifteen odd years now, and someone who has used these claws in sparring matches for this specific purpose, I'll have to disagree.
1st item: Those are for fighting not climbing
2nd item: They are for added grip not for grip while walking in like a forest, not speed
Not saying they are great products but thats not their intended purpose either

3rd item: it is a grappling hook, usually used to climb and not to attack a mannequin but who really cares because its a video for entertainment

I remember growing up in the 80s every kid wanted to be a 🥷 Ninja..we would buy Chinese stars and make nunchucks out of a broom stick and a dogs chain...lol. I would even light smoke bombs and try to disappear like the Ninjas did...

Those grappling hooks are actually supposed to be wiggly so they can attach to things better. They actually work surprisingly well

Not sure what you mean by offense and defense but wearing the claws (with gloves or pads on your hands) and the feet spikes you're basically suppose to hug the and climb it that way putting most of the weight on your feet into the tree.

They also use the hand spikes as a weapon they reach around and catch your throat with it they can also cut you and when you do kicks you have the spikes on the ball of your toes so that the spikes are puncturing when you kick but they're mainly used together for climbing

Those claws were designed to assist with climbing as well as defense. You can catch a blade with those as well as slash an enemy.

I remember my buddy turned around and went 'Shhh' and started sneaking around the corner to try and scare our other friend and all I could hear was his Flip-Flops slapping😂 Reminded me of Tyler sneaking with spikes
Shuko (the hand claws)weren’t really used for climbing. They were used for catching blades, loose clothing and limbs. If you try to climb with shuko the metal bar digs into the back of your hand. Ashiko(the foot ones) could help with climbing but really it was easier to just use your feet.
Ninja weren’t what the 1980’s or Ashida Kim makes them out to be. They were 15th century intelligence officers and used deception, mental warfare and hid in plain sight, like a spy.
They were only invisible after taking your sight.
(Studied in the Bujinkan, under two different sensei and we didn’t deal much with shuko or ashiko, even the shuriken weren’t really thrown but held in hand to make grabs and locks more firm and painful. Again depends on what you are trying to do.)

so a little known fact since media has kind of messed it up but a ninja's Tekagi-shuko or "Tiger hooked hands" weren't meant for normal climbing and are not supposed to be that curved they're supposed to be almost straight and take a slight curve at the tip not short and almost L shaped they were intended for climbing bare wood like the wood used in houses, to scale fencing or, climb icy terrain but only IF needed because their main use was combat as they are easy to hide and useable as well ... claws able to stab and rip at an opponent when you seem like an unarmed combatant their straight hooks let them dig deep into muscles and tear them or tendons rendering an assailant useless

Once bought that spike kit in my teenage days all the way back in the 2010, it takes time getting the “grip” of how to properly use them, and it’s more comfortable to use them with gloves on. It’s supposed to help you climb the tree, not grant you an ability to be nimble as a cat, if you can’t climb a tree with nothing but your hands and legs - those claws will give you no advantage
