It has always hurt me to see goods from as far as Vietnam flooding the African continent yet South Africa with its massive industrial capacity is sleeping while its graduates are jobless.
South African youths are supposed to be producing every product that the continent should've bought from Asia, Europe and the US.

It is due to the majority of SA population voting for inept, corrupt, selfish leaders like they have for the past 30+ years.
Until the ANC and all related associates are out of government, this will continue to be the case.

Exactly, my friend! Exactly. We could, rather we SHOULD be the powerhouse of Africa and a powerhouse of the world.
Yet we, the South African youth, have to look overseas for emloyment opportunity.

I think there should be a mindset change for the country's population to stop seeing the rest of the continent as a threat but rather as an opportunity in terms of market and "CHEAP" labor.
I mean if they're willing to work in SA for peanuts, why should it be a problem for them to work for peanuts within their own countries under SA operated businesses.
Just saying don't quote me wrong

@@saadicksebandeke2723 this is another fair point. A lot of South Africans work on the US farms, being paid around $3500-$5500 USD a month, tax free. Over there, it really isn't that much, but here....oh boy. We can provide this same advantage to the rest of the continent, while reaping the benefits of it (we don't need cheap SAfrican labour).

As I seriously consider migrating to Mother Africa in Kenya, from the Caribbean, I'm also very interested in South Africa, in order to visit there later on. I'm fascinated by South Africa's natural beauty, and also its history. I'd like to learn about the Zulu nation also. Greetings from the Caribbean.

I know that to many this sounded like more of what we've heard before and nothing knew. I agree. However, I also think that this was his best speech since 'Thuma Mina'. It's not because he said anything that was revolutionary; it's because for the first time, he gave us something which sounds more like a very high level rough plan than a list full of waffling and wishes.
If it is implemented, the GNU would've done well to justify itself. If not then all those parties will be buried with Cyril's legacy. No pressure.

Congratulations to the ANC government - moving the country forward by 10 years!! (It only took them 30 years to do this. Yes! You, dear ANC, and your wayward son Zuma (the vulture) are the ones responsible for the "10 wasted years").
Hopefully the GNU allows the country to move forward at a steady pace (at very least, in step with the marching of time).

Do you, the Parliament and municipality, law & justice, recognize our (the inhabitants of South Africa) sovereignty without restrictions? If yes, declare this publicly and with clarity and full disclosure. This is the only acceptable agreement that would be allowed to govern our nations management on our behalf. You are not and never intended for fame or wealth but exclusively and a public servant to which you swore an oath. Us the public will serve you with a new system of operations, and you shall act accordingly. Aggreed?

We have thousands of unemployed black graduates. Yet, the Skills Development Levy Funds remain unspent and skills are being imported out of Europe and elsewhere. Very rarely from Africa. Why? The new Minister of Home Affairs says he will emphasise the visas process for this purpose. Why? So that big business can profit offf the skills of the declinig Global North, and this is largely European. So this is a new form of the 'job colour bar'. The jackboot will be on those who are undocumented and unskilled, who are kept in precarious limbo and uncertainty, so that farmers, restuaranters and the wider hositality industry, construction and retail can all use this precarious status to pay pitiful wages. These migrants are largely from Africa and to a lesser extent Asia South Africans are beign sidestepped because foreigners are in a weaker position than their South African counterparts. Then theres the cho chokracy! Those short sighted state officials taking cho cho from foreigners. You are pointing a shotgun to your feet!!!!

He promised to ensure competency in government while reinforcing BEE, those goals are incompatible BEE means denying competent people in favour of racist laws. BEE only matters in the social institutions like universities, government, and the legislature, most private businesses ignore BEE since oversight is virtually absent outside of government funded social institutions and companies that are recipients of tender-grants. So he has promised that that he will hire competent people to head governmental departments, and in the same speech promised that he will refuse to hire competent people, according to some African nationalist-socialist race law designed to overide considerations of competency, and candidate suitability excluding racial considerations. The same government is mandated by the constitution to form an equal and fair society. Iv'e witnessed such poor administration of government and social institutions that I believe it isn't possible that the state doesn't violate the constitution thousands of times on a daily basis, by directly depriving private citizens of their rights. The South African state is not legitimate by it's own standards. These words ring quite hollow, President Ramaphosa comes accross as very insincere and willing to exploit the ignorance of the masses.

I agree but the state is not the Nation, its a Treasonous entity that serves foreign interests abpove ours, ..it must be removed by national private security.
