- EFF leader Julius Malema sat down with journalists on 25 June 2020 where he answered questions about the allegations that he benefitted from the VBS Mutual Bank scandal. Malema maintained his and the EFF’s innocence, saying that there was no proof that he was involved in the fraud that saw the bank close its doors.

I think Adv. Mpofu was saying, there is no case if Matodzi guy s affidavit says it was a loan. Dali was talking as an advocate instead of clarifying the matter. Thomas even played the video where Malema denying receiving ant money from Vbs. Manyatela even adhed Mpofu on how much have Eff received inn all. The matter at hand is straightforward: the EFF benefitted from VBS. They need to disclose the amount they received and the purpose of these funds. If it was a donation, why is it so difficult to declare it?
The bank card in question is the one that the vbs donation/funds were transferred into.
