Radiation oncology is a specialized field of medicine focused on using radiation therapy to treat cancer. The scope of radiation oncology in India and internationally is generally positive. Here are some key points:
    India:
Growing Demand: India has a significant burden of cancer cases, and the demand for radiation oncologists is expected to grow as the incidence of cancer increases.
Advanced Facilities: Major cities in India have state-of-the-art cancer treatment centers equipped with advanced radiation therapy technologies.
Research Opportunities: There are opportunities for research and development in radiation oncology, especially in institutions with active research programs.
    Outside India:
Global Opportunities: Radiation oncologists trained in India can explore job opportunities in countries with advanced healthcare systems, where the demand for specialized cancer care is high.
Research and Collaboration: International collaborations and research opportunities can be attractive for those seeking to further their careers in radiation oncology.
Varied Practice Settings: Practicing abroad can offer exposure to different healthcare systems, patient populations, and treatment approaches.
In both India and other countries, radiation oncologists play a crucial role in cancer care. The specific scope and opportunities may vary depending on factors such as location, experience, and individual goals. It's essential to keep in mind that the field of medicine, including radiation oncology, requires continuous learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and treatment modalities.

Radiation oncology is still eligible for Medical Oncology as feeder branch but Radiation Oncologist should read entire General Medicine to crack the exam.
