I'm not a fan of his snare in my own terms I prefer dryer with less overtones and how I get my overtones and sustain is to essentially hammer the shit out of my snare I just prefer is as I feel it gives more definition with patterns like rolls and fills I prefer my kit quite dead so I can get my definition and can get those over tones with my technique if the song so requires it but his snare sound works for him
I loved the performance and came here mainly for that, but that is actually a really beautifully shot concert. The film team deserves a pat on the back for this one!

I love how Frusciante just passed the lead onto Flea at 5:58 and transitioned to playing rhythm, and then Flea just shredded the lead on bass... when your bassist can play lead (and actually do it well), you know you got a good band....
That John Fruciante is an f-ing worker! I’ve never heard/seen a player who throws in the extras like he does on every song. I say “extras”, Dean Ween refers to them as “tasters”.....the extra bend or slide, etc. that just makes the song sound much fuller live. It’s rare that someone is as talented at their job as he is.
This band has three things going for it, those are; feel, tone and groove!!!!! Love their use of playing in aeolian mode, another reason I love this band!
Flea is probably one of the most under rated bass players out there. Those of you who doubt this guy has raw talent just stop and watch this. Perfect solo!!!!!
