If anyone is wanting to buy a glass protector, I bought the GMAS and bought a 29mm cover and it almost covered the glass but was definitely a little too small. It works just fine but stepping up to a 30mm is where you want to be at. I'm also buying a GM-2100 that hasn't showed up in the mail quite yet, and getting a 32mm for that. If I remember to update this with a follow up I will haha. PS: THANK YOU GFW for showing the crystal measurements, I literally cannot find them online. You are actually the only person on the entire internet that I was able to get the mm from. Thank you for that, you are amazing lol.
Outstanding breakdown of these two G-Shocks! You're so awesome for doing that! Now, if Casio will make that gray version in the smaller version, I'm so in! Thumbs up!
Amazing, thats a REAL detail view of the watch, keep that way. It would be great to compare the GMA-S2100 with a DW-5600 or its smaller version BGD560 if you have it (if not, don't buy it, save those dollars). Great video.
just curios if gma-s2100 case can be mod into a steel case + bracelet just like how the ga-2100? It would be sick to have a steel case to match with the chromed indicators
GMA=S2100 "S" is for smaller. I bought the smaller version for $75 USD delivered from Italy. Might be label as a females watch but next time Casio be smarter and call it UNISEX. Get OVER the labels related to SEX.
Thank you! Great comparison. I just bought the smaller on, the 1A in black and have worn it just today. I would love to see a review if you find the time. This is my first G-shock. Thank you!
You can find aftermarket indexes for the regular size version on eBay. Even though they share the same module, the dial size and handsets are different.
@@GFWatch Thanks for the reply! Would it not be possible then to switch the GA2100's dial with the GM2100's to use in the GA2100's module, to house in its carbon case?
They look soo good on pictures and video but in reality they feel like a toy. And having 16 mm strap lug width makes it hard to get any other straps. Also in summertime these are sweaty.
Did you ever succeed in modifying the gmas2100? I’m considered soaking the markers and hands in heavy duty degreaser to strip the rose gold paint, do you think that would work?
Very good, i think i'll take the Mini. I'm glad they didn't add the odd "Baby-G" in the case.

yes, pls for the review of the smaller one, the small wrist people needs it
Would I be able to buy a GA2100 and GMAS2100 and swap modules? I want the smaller case size but with the standard black module.

Still waiting on it...😞
I love the mini CasiOak! I recently bought the white one and its such a nice watch.
You forgot to measure the band widths. Can you tell me the measurements of those two?
Did you ever find out?

What's your view on the rose gold for men. Does it's look ok for a man to wear? Am a bit torn.
I'm not a fan of gold but i think it'll work for men.
Go for it! I’m buying the black/gold version and I’m a manly man
Rose gold is fine to be worn by men. I have a silver dress watch with rose gold bezel and hour markers, looks stunning.
Can men wear the pink mini casioak ?
@@laiquetaher2887 I say yes! Ended up buying one and no regrets at all. It's kinda low key and works well.
Excellent comparison.
i cant find any watch dial and hands for the gma s-2100 i will be customizing it into a tiffany blue casioak :(
Just made one.
how about the strap lug size? are they the same size?

I still haven't found steel bezel fitting this new GMA-S2100 but I guess it will might be available soon.
They are available now in the gen 3 style on Amazon. Has slightly smaller screws to match the AP Royal Oak more now too

Totally agreed! As an asian man, I have a small wrist and if it labels as unisex, it's more comfortable for me to buy without thinking.
Are the straps lug width the same?
hey can you 3d print the shroud
Where is the date display?
I bet, if you swap the outcase. They both will fit nicely too
Tried. Won't fit. The case on the mini Casioak is really smaller.
@@GFWatch u r right. Im sorry.
No worries
@@GFWatch Do the GA2100 straps work for the mini?
Great work !! Thanks a lot !!

Where'd you find the aftermarket indices? Also, would you be able to switch the modules between each case, since they use the same module?

If you swap the dial and hands, then there module will fit.

Are the strap lugs the same, could you swap straps? I would like to know if the strap adapters are comparable
They do not share the same strap. They are not compatible.
Are the strap dimensions in the two models the same?
No, the straps are not interchangable
This is such a pity, so many straps are available for the “bigger brother”.
I hope it will be available for the babyoak too soon
