I love birds (ALL birds) more than any other creature on this planet. I have had the honour of having birds in my life that love me. There’s just nothing like it.
I have a honeybee hive in my backyard, but the girls never go near my hummingbird feeder, but I see plenty of yellow jackets. The bees have their own sugar water feeder when the nectar flow slows down in late summer.
But what was very remarkable and surprising, the other wasp took the harassing offender OFF the hummingbird feeder so the hummingbird can return to the feeder! That wasp must truly be a good guy! Taking the bad yellow jacket like that. Hey he’s or she’s a hero!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ I’m completely blown away!!😁
Wow! Another great video! I love watching the interaction of of wildlife. All are hungry and need nourishment. The hummingbird looks so skinny, and your sugary water is providing much needed food for both bird and bees. We need bees to survive too so they can continue to help our crops grow and feed us. Thanks for all interesting facts!
@@lilywongbirdsnature3644. Did you see what the other wasp did to that invading yellow jacket after it attacked the hummingbird by driving her or him away from the feeder? The other wasp came to the feeder, saw the yellow jacket, snatched it and dragged it away from the feeder with such a tight grip of steel! How amazing can that be? Then the hummingbirds got their chances to return to their feeder! I was just so amazed. In my mind I was cheering for the heroic wasp! Please look at your video again carefully for proof! I think you’ll be amazed too!
Yellowjackets kill insects early in the season. Insect parts are brought back to the nest. In late summer, their diet switches to sugar (flowers to rotting fruits, including people food)
Looks like hummingbirds hate yellow jackets as much as I do.
Like the rest of us.
Yellowjackets have no redeeming value at all. When I get to heaven I’m going to ask God why he created them and mosquitoes
That is the most chill humming bird. It’s like he knows he’s being filmed.

I would provide foods for the bees a distance away. Bees are so important to our planet.

WHAT CAMERA ARE YOU USING!!!! This is perfect quality!!!!!!
I am using DJI Osmo Pocket to film.
They do eat small wasps and spiders.
Thanks for the tips!
What all bugs are harmful to hummingbirds ? What about Wood-bees
Great video. Good tips.
The wasps are way too aggressive.
Yes they are....thanks for watching!
Amazing
Put tea tree oil around each of the holes. Problem solved
I don’t like wasps too. Their sting hurts! I am on the sides of hummingbirds.
Poor hummingbirds have to watch out the wasps all the time!
You should use the feeders with upsidedown bottle
I hate yellow jackets. But they like sugar? Hard to believe because they’re scavengers.

Why not help the hummer...?
Try not to interfere with the Nature!
