I watched all of the episodes of Friends within like a week or 10 days but I just can not stand it when tv shows that I care about don't end the way I want them to. Therefore I decided not to watch the last two episodes (part 1 and 2) of Friends. I then realized that there was a large probability that the show would end the way I wanted it (with Ross ending up with Rachel). I decided to find a video on TH-cam to have as a backup for if this would not happen (a compilation like this of their best moments of love). After having made this decision, I watched the first 25 seconds of this video and was convinced Rachel was going to Paris and leaving Ross behind in NYC. I was really sad about this but made the decision to watch the final 2 episodes of the show. At the end I am very happy with the ending of this great show! The only minor drawback is that Chandler and Monica moved out of their apartment and started living in the suburbs. But in the end, what I cared about most was that Rachel and Ross were together and THEY ARE!!!!! Also, this compilation is great and I can't believe it doesn't have more views than it has.

Rachel and Emma moved back in with Ross on the day she got off the plane. However Ross and Rachel were now sleeping together every night. Rachel was speechless when he disclosed that he was the one who got her job back at Ralph Lauren for her. Rachel admitted it had been a huge mistake to move out the previous year and especially to have had a relationship with Joey.
On the night after Monica and Chandler moved to Westchester, Ross proposed to Rachel and she excepted without hesitation.
A few weeks later, in late June they got married with Phoebe as Maid of Honour and Joey as minister, the entire thing being managed by Monica. Rachel also announced to everyone afterwards that she and Ross were expecting their second child, something she'd already told Ross a few days earlier. They honeymooned in Paris, Rachel being surprised and impressed that Ross spoke fluent French.
Joey left New York in September after Ross and Rachel moved to a new house in Westchester on the same block as Monica and Chandler, due to Rachel's pregnancy. Subsequently they had another daughter whom they named Ella and a son called James.
Because Rachel became pregnant again before the wedding, her father was very angry but her oldest daughter Emma took a shine to him and he softened his attitude a little towards Ross, seeing how happy Ross and Rachel are together. However her father and mother still find it difficult to be in the same room, despite the best efforts of Ross and Rachel.
Ross got Head of Department at NYU while his wife became a board member at Ralph Lauren. Rachel and Ross share Thanksgiving hosting with Monica and Chandler while Christmas is held at Phoebe and Mike's apartment, formerly Monica and Chandler's. (Joey and Alex married in Las Vegas a few years after Ross and Rachel and returned to his old apartment opposite best friends Phoebe and Mike.)
Gunther now owns Central Perk and is in a relationship with Jasmine, Phoebe's former colleague but still pines after Rachel. While he generally is polite to Ross, he still makes snide remarks now and again.
Incidentally Mark, who got Rachel the job in Paris which she rejected, came over in the fall to see if she wanted to reconsider. He also asked her out as he was unaware of her marriage to Ross as Rachel and Ross had decided to keep her name Green professionally (she was however legally Mrs Rachel Geller-Green) and he showed his dislike of Ross when she told him she was married to him. During his angry reaction, Mark accidentally revealed that he'd set up Chloe to come onto Ross years earlier. When Rachel heard this, she was furious and threw Mark out of her office. In fact she didn't calm down until Ross arrives a little later and embraces her. Mark never contacts Rachel again.

This all “break” thing that they kept dragging from season 2 destroyed the relationship and a bit of the 2 characters too. After that, Rachel became so condescending and bitchy to Ross, always undermining him. He also, who was this funny geeky and really nice guy back in the early seasons, turned out to be a whinning victim always playing the “we were on a break card” he was just so mental and creepy in the end. Moreover, the other big issue with the writting is that we don’t get to see them help each other grow. Ross not supporting and underrating her career was one of the reasons they broke up in the first place. Also, in the last episodes, here he is again asking to pick him over her carreer. That « don’t go to Paris » plot was such a choice to conclude their relationship. Here he is, once again, considering her carreer like sort of a game, an option. While in the other way around, him having a job opportunity anywhere, Rachel would have been the first supporting him, we get so see him not even consider once to work it out or to go with her, abandoning his job. Thats were I see the toxic part for me..
Thats why the getting back together in the last episode seemed so forced... it really seemed like it was gonna last a month or two.. especially with the “unless we’re on a break » joke they pulled in the end, only showing that even 6 years later the main blackhole of the relationship remained unsolved.

And it's a lie that Ross doesn't help or support Rachel. They were best friends before and after the break up.
