Great to see a customer that has bought a rebuilt all done engine that actually was rebuilt and done, usually its the customer that buys a rebuilt engine thats done.
I think there is a tool which is used on the crank to align the end cover centrally then you bayonet the seal in. Or it wears the crank seal prematurely. On the transit engine end cover.
Strange that I got a gasket with my replacement front cover ebay special I replaced that over 18 months ago with no issues I would recommend taking the paint of it will rust to death
@BarumEngines On your more modern diesel builds, look into pistons called Speed of Air. They are dimpled like a golf ball, have a coating, and use a gapless second ring. They give better fuel economy, more torque, and cooler exhaust gas temperatures. The design dates back to WW2 for aircraft piston engines.
@@Decadentwest they don’t make a diffrance I seen the flow chart on a cnc ported head for a k20 that made no difference what so ever and when making 1200 bhp plus out a 2 litre most don’t even bother also street alpha has a leading head porter on and he said it was a complete novelty with no practical imput the dimples are ment to create air pockets so ur flowing over air not metal
Maybe start taking some payment up front on engines as the landrover owner is dragging his heels picking his motor up not good for your buisness cash flow

Terrific video. I barely missed Issac's camera wielding. 🤭 when are you going to get to the oilbath Ford? That should be interesting, no? Cheers.

If it was any good it would be implemented in motorsport
Veicomer, a Portuguese diesel tuner does heads with dimpled ports but the jury is still out on wether they make any difference I believe.

Dave's Auto Center is using them on all of the Monster rebuilds on the big 3 diesels.

The diesel pump looks one link out to the chain. Should the indentation not line up with the dark link??
Great video, going to be a bit quiet for you with no Isaac around for a while!!!
Youre going to get some real earache from the kids Mother who owns that bike, it’s been there months!!

Hi Leigh. I think you need to clean the lens onthe camera. It has a bluey haze on the video footage.
pretty good motor that , just needs a refresh.
Is Steve getting charged the hourly rate while you look at his engine and make a video surely you can't do both

He's allowed to be POMPous under certain CIRCUMSTANCEs. (Sorry, I couldn't resist. )

Titles haven't arrived yet - they appear later. In the meantime click away. 😂
