My dad has one of these for roe and muntjac down in Hampshire. Finds it ideal as doesn’t like a big rucksack but it can carry all your kit then convert to carry the deer back to the larder. I appreciate it’s too small for fallow but for anyone out for the smaller species I think it’s great.
Used a napier for some time but you do need to be of a certain build. Being a larger body type, i had to fit an additional strap that went over my shoulder to stop it slipping down. If your smaller and the strap can fit on your waist it's fine, Chris Dalton uses one and he is of that body type. I now use Phil Ogdens bag, the sack fits into the bag which you take out and being larger, will accommodate x2 Roe or x1 fallow. Honest review though. Thanks
Personally don't like bum bags or things around my waist when foot stalking as tends to stop air flow around my smock or coat. I use a monarch / odgens roe sack instead. For the hill I use a vorn. Otherwise all in pockets and a drag rope for the fallow 😊 paul@testvalleyvenison
Thanks for the honest review lads

Napier thing works v well for me on the roe. Seems good quality too after 6 months of abuse. I can confirm it fits a big fat bloke.
