You are right. Many actresses do start their careers at a very young age. Even Divya Bharti did the same. But this was the norm few decades ago, not in modern times when Hansika debuted as an actress. Also another fact is Hansika was a very well known child artist and used to be seen frequently on TV and movies. So the audience had a strong image of her as a child. Then suddenly Hansika transformed her body to look as an adult which shocked many people. No teenage period was seen in between. Sridevi, Padmini Kolhapure and other actresses from the South didn't have a prominent childhood acting career and no one transformed so abruptly so those cases are different.
