Great Design and great instructions! Couple of suggestions. They make a roof wrap that is like house wrap only less expensive. Use plastic caps to secure to make pretty water tight and wind proof. They make a slap stapler to install these caps, and there are also a couple of pneumatic guns that can be used installation. The roof wrap should last more than the 3-5 years.
Just a killer Blind to build , First time I ever used one I blended it into an existing row of round bales . An absolute guaranteed venison getter ! Enjoy , Thanks for sharing , take the kids with out , they will remember it forever.
Hi sir well got to say my friend thats a cracking job you dun on the hunting hide sir well smart im lving it my frined big👍👍up to you sir brilliant ida take cear and be safe godbless you and your family from dino in the uk🛸🤣
The blind looks awesome, but the thickness of that plastic isn't 6 mm, it's 6 mils . Plastic sheeting is measured in mils. A mil is a measurement that equals one-thousandth of an inch, or 0.001 inch. One mil also equals 0.0254 mm (millimeter). Sorry about that. Had to say. I've been using metric all my life. 👍🙂
THAT WOULD BE AND OUTSTANDING DUCK BLIND AND DEER BLIND YOU COULD POSSIBLY PLACE IT ON A SMALLER ELEVATED STAND TOO no more than 3 or 5 foot high. Great Job. Hope u can show it in action set up in the field with video of a hunt in progress. Seeing how many deer are actually fooled by this innovative design.
Nice. With all those staples holding on the erosion blanket it has to leak like a sieve????? If it’s already 400-500 pounds why not make some type of permanent roof to stay dry?? Have you made one for duck and goose hunting?? Thanks for sharing
I understand your concern with the staples and I totally agree. This is more for staying out of the wind and concealment. We hunt in these mostly late season. So there is more snow then rain. We try to keep it light. I have not made any for duck and goose hunting. Thanks for watching!
I built one of these last year but I had to spray mine down with some homemade habanero pepper spray!! My damn cows were eatin the fire out of it!! I don’t know why but they seemed to like it more than the bales put out for them!! The hot peppers seem to be workin, they’re leaving it alone now. Just be warned, if you are using this type of blind in a pasture that has cattle, they WILL eat holes in it unless you spray it down! LOL
I am not sure where you are hunting elk. It very well could be uncomfortable. Here in Iowa we use the blind from September to January. September can be 80’s during the day. We try to have multiple windows open for a breeze. Otherwise yes it’s warm.
The only drawback I see is other shooters thinking it's just a bale of hay and shooting through it. They won't know it's not a bale of hay. Put some orange flags or something like that to get the other hunters attention. After a while the deer won't pay any attention to the flags.
I appreciate your feedback! Folks that hunt in my area know the difference. During the shotgun seasons there is orange on the blind. 144sq inches on all 4 sides. Good luck with your seasons!

@@bryanbissonnette6946 Are you asking how did I draw the lines on the plywood? I used a tape measure, square, string. Pencil. I played around with the radius then drove a screw in the plywood and used a string from the screw to the pencil. For the arch.
3-5 years. Depends on if you take it out of the field during off season. Or you can wrap with a tarp and place mice bait in them. They will last longer.
scott kern It’s called soil erosion material. Can be found at most of your landscape shops. It they don’t have it most of them can tell you where to get it.
Great idea. Not so great design. You can't use plastic like that unless it's really cold out. If it was above 50° outside, in an hour it would be too hot inside with a couple of guys in it. You should use a wrap that's waterproof but allows air to go through from the inside out (like Tyvek* house wrap). You could always put screens in the end windows.
Thanks for the feedback. We have hunted in this blind when it’s been upper 70’s low 80’s. It was warm but honestly I haven’t found a blind that is comfortable in those temperatures. Good luck this year!
Been Gleaning info on Several Builds ; Thanks . !
Thank you for watching and good luck!
You are the deer blind video man. I love these videos.
neffofrog Thank You for watching! Hope these help!
Thanks for showing how you build these. It turned out great!

Great Idea! Thanks for watching!

Could you use spray glue and a bail of straw to freshen it up each year? Great idea.
Yes, great idea!
This should be a bunker entrance 🤠
Great Idea!
Smell of that black need to dissipate before you take it out to the field?
I’d just get it out early so they get use to it. It will be definitely different smell and appearance.

Lol! Thanks for the information!
how will it be for heat inside early elk archery . will it be to hot where itll be uncomfortable. it's like a greenhouse

How does it hold up to weather?
This holds up well to wind and rain. Probably will want to replace plastic every 3-5 years.
@@BigBidnessOutdoors wow that’s pretty good 👍🏼 thank you for replying.
Do you have the measurements for the side pieces of plywood

How did you secure the erosion control mat to the plastic wrap
steve Just stapled it.
HAVE fun with your back looking through the window lol
Thanks For watching.
Hey Sir, how did u make the template for the sides as far as drawing it out?
I have made a few of them. I just made a extra and I keep it as a template.
@@BigBidnessOutdoors how did you draw it out though?

Very cool 😎
Chris O. Thank You!
How tall are the walls?
That's sweet! How much all together did it run you to build it?
Thank You! Cost will be between 300-500. I have one for sale right now for 550.00
That’s amazing!! Do you have supply list??
How long do you think the erosion control mat will last? All of the ones I have found are biodegradable
3-5 years. Depends on if you take it out of the field during off season. Or you can wrap with a tarp and place mice bait in them. They will last longer.
How much straw did you lose transporting it?
Very Little always wrap with tarp for minimal loss.
Can you run a heater in this?
Spencer Schwers Absolutely a little buddy heater work perfect! Thanks for watching!
Where do you get the erosion control rolls?
Most of the landscape companies sell it.
Where do you get the hay looking tarp

Thanks. I supposed spedy
Bad ass
Thanks for watching!
What’s the measurement on the plywood end?
Ryan Jackson I’ve made them all different sizes. Just what ever you feel comfortable with.
those big round bales should be outlawed! cows aren't getting square meals!
Thanks for the feedback. Thanks for watching!
Well??? Does it kill deer???
Mark B. The deer don’t have a care in the world. You can kill any deer you want out of this blind.
how much does it weigh?
John Swink I am not sure I’d say 400-500. I can pick one side by myself.

Why so long
I chose this length as we sometimes hunt as a family as well as video. This space seems to work for us.
Great idea. Not so great design.
