I have a 03 Explorer with the S I believe (it shows V on the door panel code) My question is. OD light flashes and it signals "Check Tranismission" It has trouble holding gears and going into 2nd. Have to let of the gas for it to shift into 2nd and 3rd. I believe at this point the transmission is toast (it still drives but struggles). What brand do you recommend for Remans? I want something thats updated as much as possible so it will last as long as possible. (my explorer is the 4.6 v8)
sorry for the delay in replying. I would love to build your transmission but by the time the shipping was done you could have it built were you are cheaper how ever a carry out unit would run about 1000.00 dollars. what part of Carolina are you from?
I have a dumb question is there some sort of list of the thrust bearings and washers and snap rings so I can make sure I'm getting things in the right place when I reassemble my 5r55w

is it possible to re bore the 5r55s again once its been bored i have one that the brass bores are worn out again.
Yes you can install new bushings I use a blind hole puller and slide hammer to remove old bushings
If I ship you my transmission out of my 2002 explorer xlt. Can u rebuild it and upgrade servo bores? Price estimate?

You can get a reman in the 1400 dollar range and I build them all the time for around a 1000
