IVF couple here - 4 rounds and hitting 40. Glenda's story gives us so much hope. Thank you for sharing such a well documented interview. The couple gave us a glimpse of their very private pain and tumultuous journey in hopes that those like us who are trying- will be less judged for fighting a hard fight. Here's to more couples braving the IVF storm no matter the age. May we all be blessed with out little ones soon! 🥰
“Hope springs Eternal and Hope is a huge Motivator“ so true. Delighted to hear your wonderful Baby News, Glenda & Justin. I certainly HOPE that all goes well with your pregnancy and child birth Glenda. I was there during your very first Live Cross on TV, standing beside the camera, to remind you to breathe. And I’m excited to see your baby take his first breath when he finally makes his grand entrance into our rather Messy but still Magical World. Just remember to breathe, breathe and breathe Glenda. With all my love and blessings, Rebecca xxx
Well done! Congrats! My own ivf journey took 10 years for my first child. And my second one was a natural after another 5 years. Stay healthy and happy.
Congratulations Glenda! You are my favorite MediaCorp/CNA news presenter! And get out of here, you don’t look 51 at all! You always look so youthful and cheerful on camera or off. I am so happy for you and your husband. Wish you a smooth pregnancy and a joyful motherhood and parenthood ahead. 🙏🏻❤️🫶🏻
It’s also truly inspiring that you and your husband are willing to share your difficult journey to have children with the public, something that could be considered very private and personal to many. Many women have had to face the same challenges and not everyone succeeded. So it’s good to read about success stories like yours, giving other women out there facing the same issues hope. I wish all the best for you and Justin, you guys will be wonderful parents too! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️
Congratulations 🎉 Personally, I have witnessed the sacrifice my wife had to endure undergoing through miscarriages, IUI and IVF. It was definitely not an easy journey. Hats off to every women and mums out there, especially those undergoing IVF. Salute!
Congratulations to Glenda and Justin ! Thanks for sharing your personal journey towards parenthood! I guess many couples in the same situation as you would be much encouraged by both of you and would take heart and do what you have done successfully after several undaunted attempts. Take care and God bless!
Thank you for sharing such a precious and private joy with all of us. We rejoice with both of you and pray a healthy happy delivery. Speedy recovery for mum and dad
Thank you for being so brave and open about your journey to conceive. I wish the two (soon to be three) of you a successful pregnancy and a healthy, happy baby!
Congrats to both of you. I got pregnant at the age of 45 and gave birth to my girl at 46 .She is a healthy 11 year old today. Enjoy your pregnancy. Don’t let negative thoughts get to you . A happy mother gives birth to a happy baby.
My uncle was 62 and my aunt was 54 when they had their 1st child. They had their second 3 years later. It was not the best situation for the kids as they aged. Years of teasing at school and as time went by it was so much harder for my aunt and uncle to cope. Luckily they were wealthy enough to hire help, but the kids still were effected by it all. When the youngest turned 18 my uncle was 80 and my aunt was 72.
I’ll like to share my story. My father married late when he was 48. Despite his age, he was still youthful looking at that time. He had his first child when he was 49 after marrying my mom who was 20 years younger than him. Then they went on to have 6 children. 😅 When we were in primary school, my dad was already in his sixties and his hair already turned white. All my classmates would say my dad was my grandpa whenever he visited my school. We grew up into adulthood with people around us asking why our dad was so old. I must say we were not much affected at all and would gladly introduce him as our dad. However when my mom was in her fifties and my dad was in his seventies, she felt embarrassed and would refuse to go out with my dad as her friends mocked at her for having such an old man for a husband. My father was the best father I could have although he had us late. He knew it wasn’t easy to father children and raise so many of us when he was almost reaching retirement age. Fortunately he was financially sound and we didn’t have any monetary issues. He kept himself active and exercised everyday to stay healthy so he can have the energy to keep up with 6 children. He made sure all 6 of us go as far as tertiary education in our local universities and get good jobs to provide for ourselves. While we were growing up, he didn’t take a cent from the government to provide bursaries and financial aid. He paid for everything using his income and savings. We never received private tuition at all but did well in school. Some of my siblings went on to receive PSC scholarships because of their excellent academic performance. My father was really amused but grateful to the government. Now we’re all grown up and married with families. Even my husband’s grandmother was the same age as my father. My dad passed away at 91. He was the best father I could ever have. He is a good testimony that anyone can be a great parent even when they are advanced in years and still have a full and fruitful life like any young parents. Although he did not get to enjoy his grandchildren, he had fought the good fight, fulfilled all responsibilities a parent should and led a meaningful and full life. His legacy will live on with us. ❤
Mega congrats to Glenda and Justin. Parenthood is a journey of joy and sincerely wish both of you success on it and hope to see Baby Glenda/Justin soon 💪💪💪 All the best!

Just have to perservere & lots of patience coz they are a bundle of joy. At 35, i feel like my back is breaking, my minds is overloaded thinking of so many things + work. Is never easy. 💪🏻💪🏻
All the best Glenda and Justin! Stay positive and cheerful.. I can relate to the emotional roller coaster plus the financial burden as I have been through this in my 30s. Decided to adopt a baby when all else failed. My son is 18 this year. 😄
@bobafett5757 They waited so long for this child and they will definitely love this child so there is no "fair" or "unfair" unless is unplanned pregnancy and they are not going to love this child.
@@Corianderfish I mean is unplanned pregnancy "AND" they are not going to love this child. I did write "AND". If they have decided not to love this child, then there is "fair" or "unfair". Congratulation. I went through IVF twice, and my ovary didn't produce any follicles, but the emotional rollercoaster was too much to handle 20 years ago. We decided to stop and adopt a child instead. It was our best decision, and our daughter is now 20 and thriving. I can relate and understand what you are going through

Yeah, I am thinking about that too. Although there is nothing wrong about that, it's just very uncommon. 🙂
Kids will ask, are they your grandparents? Then there is also this wide generational gap. Not going to be easy.
Thats true cos kids love to tease other kids who have aged looking parents
@@margaretchong1450 Those kids will also like to joke if the ageing parents are actually adopted parents
