The very first time I saw the circus band performed was during my high school days. By lunchtime, my classmates and I have to rush home from classes to catch Ariel Ureta and Tina Revilla's TV program Noontime Matinee. Madalas mag guest ang circus sa program na iyon. Those were pre martial law days, 1972 I think. Doon ko rin unang nakita sila Basil, Tillie, Hajji, Pabs , Jacqui, Richard Tann , Pat Castillo etc... Most of their numbers were those I heard in another popular radio staion DZBM.
I miss this group, The Circus Band. Each member (Haji, Basil, Pabs, Ray Ann, Tillie, etc.) can sing so well & beautifully. I hope they will reunite again and perform here in California. Thanks 'eacatek' for sharing this video.

Last year, there was a serious inquiry from the US regarding a 5-city tour for Circus Band. Another offer was to perform with the Minstrels. Since I opted not to get involved in the project, I heard that there were scheduling problems and at least one was not happy with the financial arrangement.

The song, "If You Don't Know Me By Now" was a signature song of Hajji, not Basil. We put together most of the signature songs of the singers in one medley which I hope to upload next. I tend to do the uploads in spurts because I'm also busy with work. But I hope to upload most of the album songs before December. Thanks for watching and listening to the Circus Band.
