GREAT VID... NICE AXE ! I had the pleasure of meeting both Bruce and Paul while attending GIT (class of 91). Paul was still teaching there and Bruce would also do open counseling jam session where any student could drop in and jam with him. They also did a live performance/seminar on the main stage and had a great show at the Troubadour, free for any students. Def a high lite of my time there !!! Great times !!! RACER X ROCKS !!!

I have two IYV guitars (not custom). They are amazing. Both were under $200. I gig with each of them on a regular basis. Our bass player, who records & plays professionally, has looked into getting his own custom IYV because he is so impressed with my guitars.
Awesome guitar and playing, Richard! Musiclily is great for decent guitar parts at low prices. I've bought many of their Wilkinson pickups for my projects for less than $40 a set. It isn't necessary to spend alot on this stuff these days. Keep rockin'!!!
Same here , even those Fleor pickups are good and like you said for under $40 dollars. When you're buying a guitar for under $300 who in their right mind is going to spend $100 plus on pickups , doesn't make sense. I buy a lot of hardware from musiclily , their bridges , tuners , pickups are all good....
Less than $400 for a neck-thru guitar with a multi-piece neck, 24 frets, and all those other great specs??? That is a fantastic deal!

One of the best things about you is that your playing is so interesting as well as being very fast. So many players, including some very famous ones (ahem!) simply bore me to death with unmusical flying all over the place without any musicality, or at least very little. I also enjoy your discussions of various cheap guitars. Rock on!

As a Canuck, it will cost more, but I still see a lefty Les Paul style Gold Top with P90s coming my way this fall. It's minimum $1k CAD for anything with a brand name.I'll be able to get it for about $600CAD shipped. Ahhh, something to look forward to!

Good deal bro , sounds and looks great. The big boys better start worrying because these smaller relatively unknown companies are right on their heels with increasingly better quality and much more affordable prices. Especially in today's economy , i don't know anyone who has $3000 and up to throw away on a "name brand" guitar..... Have a good one and remember the fallen ✌️🇺🇲
Happy to hear that you got the guitar that you wanted. Interesting camera angle on the shredding demo made the neck look longer. Very valid point about the cost since some custom guitars can cost several thousand dollars.

Great video TBS. A really nice rendition of Boullit's (Spelling?) guitar! I prefer the 22 fret...or even a 21 fret version, but IYV did a great job! I do think you should name at least one album, "Chrome Dome!" Please don't think I'm trying to be disrespectful, but since you already use TBS as your moniker...well, "Chrome Dome" isn't too far away from TBS.

That’s awesome! I own several IYV guitars and they are all great guitars. I have tried to email them several times to see if I could order a couple of the guitars on their website but they have never answered me, also I didn’t know they did custom builds. I’ll have to try to contact them again.
If they don't reply to your email, you can email me and I'll forward it to Mr. Do. Sometimes the emails don't go through for some reason.

100% not necessary. It already stays in perfect tune and the pickups sound killer.

I listen to your jam again I loved it so much period your friend Lester really tears it up to is there a great guitar player I never learned to shred because I don't do that kind of music I love the the 80s rock guitar players I can do some of that but the Super Fast Freddy thing I can't do I'm more of a rhythm player in a songwriter I do more mid-tempo music do some 80's rock sub 2
man i have a guitar I designed years ago, crazy shaped body and headstock, and had found a company way back then that did custom work and still would have been over 1000...I dont know if my specs are acurate, I used size demensions of guitars I owned from BC Rich to compare body widths and lengths and such...Makes me wanna try to finally get it made 15 years later..lol

We're almost to the point where Epiphone struggles to make even a factory standard guitar for $370, let alone a custom.
@@nychold Epiphone is starting to hit $1,200+ prices now which I think is crazy money. Even Squire has guitars hitting $700 or so. I part mine together for a heck of a lot less.
@@timducote5713Absolutely ridiculous , I've been noticing that also. Some of their guitars that were around the $500 mark are pushing 7 , 8 , 9 hundred. The custom shop artist one's are well over a grand , I'm sorry I'm not spending a thousand or more on an Epiphone EVER. They're delusional , I'll buy a Schecter or Ibanez for $500-$900 any day over an Epi , it will be twice as and worth the money...
It's amazing how low you can charge for your guitars when you pay your employees with fish heads and rice. I mean come on you guys are adults right? You understand how the international economy works?

Hey, boss. Great song. After reading all the comments at the time, they left me unsure. I’d appreciate it if you can confirm whether this is one of the ten guitars we’re all waiting for. I thought Leo is making those, but I see the dark orange color of these, and I’m just really confused now.
This is a single custom from IYV, not part of the ten guitars coming from Leo. I don't have those yet.

How do you get the thin neck?
Also he sent you a guitar that had no sharp fret ends and the frets were level, but how do you know that's what everyone gets?
Can we return it if it's like some of the ones that's been reviewed out there? Scarr had to do a fret job on his IYV.
