Fairchild doesn't offer much anymore. They used to have the "Fun Spot" which contained a bowling alley, miniature golf, snack bar, arcade games, batting cages, skate (board) park, and skating rink. They tore it down and replaced it with nothing. However, Airway Heights EXPLODED in the last 20 years. Restaurants galore. The bowling alley was torn down in Airway Heights, too. What's up with that? However, Fairchild is about the safest place around. You can walk around base carefree and they still have a few parks and a really nice 3/4 mile track that circles tennis and basketball courts. Quiet place to live (except when the planes take off/land).
The red Morgan center is open again on base for those new airmen coming in to Fairchild. It is such a nice hangout spot(pool, darts, arcade, massage chairs, vr, indoor soccer field, jungle gym and a bar/kitchen. They are still looking for a cook so don’t believe the kitchen is open. But the amount of amenities available are 180° compared to a couple years ago. They have plans to open a bowling alley and bumper cars.
Do you know anything about the dorms for single airman? I have orders for Fairchild and am in tech school right now..

I was stationed at Fairchild from 1971-1975.... My wife and I bought a house four blocks from Ferris High School for $16,000!

Thank you for the insight! Airway heights really has changed a lot in the last decade or so and I think it’s only up from here
