Euphoniums are so underrated. They sound so beautiful when a person can play them well!

As a bassoon player I love the euphonium sound, but I can't help but hate that in concert bands they get all the melodic fun parts while us bassoons just get the boring bass lines 😭 But it's okay because bassoons gets melodic parts in orchestral music, euphs deserve their time to shine too

Got one for sale to the right buyer. I’m not actually 100% sure if I want to sell it though, because I know that i’d want one again at some point haha. Really need to give it a good deep clean…I’ve been neglecting it a bit lately :( it’s still in fantastic shape though. A good deep clean and a polish, it’d look brand new. Still sounds brand new :)

@@swagjam1 I started my brass journey on trumpet, and played that for 4 years until swapping to euphonium to assuage another's anxiety of switching to french horn. Played that for 3 years until graduation, and am left with the rusty trusty trumpet that was gifted to me. I love trumpet, but I miss the smooth rumblings and sweet highs of the euphonium...

@@ClergetMusic nevertheless most tenor range solos in orchestral music are played by bassoon. The euphonium plays a very similar role in concert bands to the role bassoons play in an orchestra. I think the reason orchestra doesn't have euphoniums is because by the time the standard symphony instrumentation was codified the euphonium hadn't been invented yet.
