Since it’s first kiss story time:
Mine happened about 3 months after I came back from chemotherapy. I was diagnosed at 15 with stage IV non-Hodgkin’s Burkett’s lymphoma (to most who understandably don’t even know what that means, tumors can double in size in less than 24 hrs, scary shit), but it was a bit after I came back to Ohio from Houston where I had treatment alone, and then starting talking to this girl I planned to ask out before I got sick and etc.
But I was 17 at the time, she took me to a park, and we walked around and caught up from the past 9 months I was gone in Houston. Eventually (because I got chemo induced chronic pain) I had to sit down and rest so we sat on a bench overlooking a pond. I don’t remember why but we started talking about the chemo, and all the other unethical stuff that happened to me during treatment; basically I got real anxious and nervous because I was being really vulnerable telling her all that, and when I started getting choked up a bit remembering those experiences, she simply put a finger to my lips, smiled, said “it’s okay now”, and kissed me, like really full on kissing.
And in that moment, everything was okay.
That memory will forever stick with me, just the patience, the understanding , the care, while I was in probably one of my most vulnerable spots.
While we didn’t work out in the long run, I will forever be thankful for that.
There are people that genuinely care, you just have to have the hope to find them one day

had my first kiss at 19 as a dare with a complete stranger at a party, we had both made sure that the other consented beforehand. but it seems that because i'm quite confident in myself, everyone at this party had thought that i was a player of some sorts (even though i had never kissed anyone before nor ever been romantically involved with someone), so i did feel the slight need to perform and to not disappoint the audience :') Anyways it was a good make-out and i was hyped up for a solid week afterwards. About a month later this stranger and i had run into each other at another party and spoke the whole night, we got each other's contact info and started dating a few days after. they broke up with me after just over a month of going out :') (i don't have any regrets though it was a good learning experience & they're one of my favorite people out there regardless of the heartbreak) moral of the story is... just go for it, no use holding yourself back from feeling alive and experiencing what the universe has to offer, as long as you're comfortable with what you're doing and who you're doing it with~~
