i think you should increase your F stop, it is very distracting and difficult to actually see the watch when it is going in n out of focus. just my $0.02

im a watchmaking student and this brand holds the highest of esteem. really along with dufour and daniels theres no contempary watches we look up too more . I think aesthetically GF often fail but the quality and accuracy and ingenuity is undeniable! i hope to work there or at renaud papi someday

Watchmaker here. Being able to own timepieces of this nature, one would think that one would no more then to call it a "power reserve thing". But yes, lovely piece.

I admit it's a ridiculously nice watch, even more breathtaking in person, but to be honest I don't believe the price necessarily justifies the means.. Sure it's a horological masterpiece, but even if I were a billionaire, I'd be hard pressed to wear gf watches. As for being the best watch ever made?.. It's a great watch and brand but the greatest watch ever made even aesthetically in my opinion is not. In the scheme of complications paired with design there are some ridiculous pieces out there which in my opinion are mechanically superior and aesthetically more elegant in design that boast class with technicality much more subtle. Such as the countless grande and super complications made by companies with an even more grand reputation. I mean aside from the more obvious pateks, vasccherons, and langes, take franck mullers mega 4 into consideration. Honestly both pieces are large and become the focal point of any room, but when you assess mechanival superiority, the mega to me is more mesmerizing. In my opinion if I had to pick a gruebel timepiece, it would easily be either the super sonnerie or most likely the double balancier in platinum, with a dark dial. Seriously though the double balancier is the best looking gruebel. Extremely high levels of precision that looks incredibly complex beating, with a dial cut away and more simplistic to keep all the attention on the escapements. It has good balance, it's elegant without overdoing the color spectrum, and master finishing techniques. I wish gruebel started to make mechanical bracelets. Personally I'm just not into straps; I look goofy with a strap. I wonder what a gruebel mechanical bracelet would look like...
Absolutely agree. It's a masterpiece alright, but I wouldn't call it "The best watch ever made."

More “depth” is called micro contrast. Low element prime lenses will give you micro contrast.

My chinese Sugess panda chrono for 180 Bucks has a nicer looking finish than this watch. I cannot see any côtes de Genève or perlage or ?

Bro, you should re-do this video. This focus issue is ruining the whole video, and making it a shitty one. One loses interest in the video, what you are saying, and also the watch itself. You usually have good stuff, but this video was nowhere near acceptable quality.
