I like seeing the three crosses on the bike owner, i had an uncle who was a pastor of a motor cycle church. They traveled from Florida to Tennessee, their home base was Tennessee, they had a trailer they had behind their motorcycle that they camped in, he died a few years ago, his son is one of my favorite cousins.
I'd Love to come up there and visit a week or two, just spending some time with Wonderful Godly folks. They are very Special and so are those that stop by to visit. Thank you John and Jodi and y'all be careful on the roads. 🤗

Miss Tiffany and Katie RM crew I will be in the area for a few days from Oct.. 25 until the 28 when I will head on to Somerset, KY for car show on the 28th. We had a store kinda like this. They had a little of everything. I miss those days in the early 60s. The creaky wood floor stands out most. Well and 10 cent ice cream sandwiches. I had such a groovy childhood.
Its so homely there and the people are so wonderful. Amazing food, there's just nothing like an old General Store. For the ones that get a chance check out Suttons in Granville Tn.

They make heat tape you can run along your water lines that is just a regular plugg in and just enough heat to keep them from freezing and you can also put the foam insulation on them and put the heat tape inside it and tape it every couple feet. Cheap insurance and doesn't use much electricity at all.
I love watching your channel. We live in Indiana but my family, parents and 5 older siblings were from Campbell county there. I would love to live there myself. I feel like I know you, having watched your videos. The setting is so peaceful. I'd like to at least go and camp there
Always watch and enjoy your videos John partly because I spent so much time in the area acquiring a TVA transmission line easement connecting Helenwood to Jamestown, which runs through the area. Still by far the toughest walk that I've ever undertook. The easement crosses Highway 52 just before the church on Highway 52 just shy of the new road cutoff east of Rugby, and runs south of the store into Fentress County. I visited the store several times for food and drinks after jokingly being greeted by Tiffany the first time with "So you're the bad guy". Lol. . .
I remeber the first candy machine come from town. Wasnt it the molasses corn machine. And ginger bread Christmas cookies and i remeber old Christmas day January 6

Went there for the first time this last weekend (Oct 21). The main appeal about this place is the old-timey general store appearance. Lots of old memorabilia on the floor and attached to the wall. Tiffany and her crew are very nice and spiritual. However, this is not a place to buy general store-type merchandise. It’s really just a fast food restaurant with a old country appearance.
I've discovered Spice crinkle cookies and man are they yummie.....................make em myself with a Spice cake mix........you could sell the heck outta those in the fall/winter
We planned our trip from Utah, by way of Mount Vernon Illinois, to the R M Brooks General Store only to find it closed @ 3:45 p.m. on October 18, 2023. Sort of reminds me of Ralphie’s disappointment when he used the Little Orphan Annie decoder only to find out that the secret message was a lousy commercial.
Yeah they close on Wednesday and Sunday. I guess you didn’t google their hours or hear in the videos where we talk about her being closed on Wednesday and Sunday.
The towns name is Rugby (pronounced Rukbee) - now that is funny. Rugby is the finest ball game ever invented in England - a national obsession in some countries like ours - something that real men play without any helmets or kneepads of plastic body protectors like their American cousins :). Btw the World Rugby championships in now being held in France and we just defeated them by 1 point to advance to the semi-finals where we will be facing England next weekend.
I'd love to visit Tiffany and the store. But if there's not an airport nearby and my wife couldn't get a direct flight; she's not interested. Guess after 46 years I'll have to get a new wife so I can visit.

We just finished filming the last video of the 2nd season. The views have dropped and not able to pay our production cost on the Brooks videos. I made 22 videos there and need to spread them farther apart. Looks like it will be late spring if we start filming there again.
