Thanks for showing the battery removal! Different from other Honeywell models. The batteries load +/- opposite directions....could be confusing as the springs are adjacent to each other. I also wrote the model number with a marker on the battery case. Btw, it only takes ALKALINE batteries.

You could hav went into the set up features where one holds the FAN and UP ARROW at the same time for 3 seconds and explain what each number indicated.

    Thank you for your video.
Question 1: When the room temperature is 78 matched the setting temperature 78, how long will thermostat turn off automatically?
Question 2: When the thermostat is turned off, how long will it stop running?

i have this same exact thermostat.
I am running into an issue.
Lets say current temperature is 70, and i want to turn the heat up(set it) to 71 or 73. Nothing happens.
But, if i select 72 or 74 the heater turns on instantly(as it should).
What wrong here? This problem only happens with heat setting at the moment.

My up and down buttons do not function apparently in this apartment i just started renting. Is there a way to fix that myself or do i need a new one placed in?

You rent a house or an apartment, it is the owner responsible to replace or fix it.

why did you say that you can't program it when ilI have this model and I programmed it to set at what temperature I wanted

  • @Car555ly

Where is the HOLD button on this unit to hold the temperature? When my heat reaches the temp I have set, it shuts off so I have to raise the heat to get it to come on again? There should be a HOLD button to maintain the heat setting where it does not shut off when it reaches the heat that is programmed/set.

Carol Z Good question! It is normal for your heat to turn off once the set point is reached; that is what thermostats are made to do. You set a temperature you want and the thermostat turns off the heating/cooling system once the temperature is reached. I think you may be confused about what the hold button does. Hold is a function that is only found on programmable thermostats (which are meant for you to program the thermostat to change temperatures automatically). When hold is enabled, the temperature setting will not change automatically and remains set to one temperature until it is manually changed. This thermostat (the one in the video) is always on hold since it is nonprogrammable and the temperatures do not change automatically. Hold does not mean that the system will run continuously. There is no feature in the thermostat that will keep the system on after reaching the set point. If any thermostat did this it would be defective. If you would like the system to remain on raise the heat setting significantly, possibly even to the highest temperature possible, so the system will stay on until you find a temperature you are comfortable with. I hope that helps!

U can set the fan to “On” instead of “Auto”. But not recommended and I forget the reason.

How to you turn the fan off? I want it completely off and dont want it on auto

    • @excellentairheatingandcool7444
      @excellentairheatingandcool7444  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

You can't turn the fan off. Your furnace needs the fan during operation. The auto mode is just that, allowing the furnace to operate only as needed. The only other option is the "on" position runs the blower constantly to circulate air in the house( great for when the house is closed up and a/c is on) . Does this help?
