i just received my first Japanese maple. came thru the mail. it's a graft on job but it is alive. i will take that much as a win
Nothing wrong with a good graft :-)
I like trying to grow cuttings and air layers, so a grafted tree makes good source material.
Where can you order maples by mail?
@@willbreeze397 i went to google and typed in j maple and a bunch of pictures and prices came up. with shipping it was 52 and on my mil income, that was a serious want. i didn't know they were so varied. makes me want to save my nickels up again.
@@willbreeze397 i just saved a nice maple sapling before the landscapers ripped it out of the flower bed. good solid 12 inches, 2 layers of leaves already with a nice red colouring to it already. i was worried about root shock but it seems to be a trooper. wish me luck
@@jayburkhart1781 oh wow, nice find! Good luck. Today I was on a short walk and I saw two little red maple sprouts in a gap in the sidewalk. I scooped them up. I just can’t help myself 😂
