Yes that is correct ignore the in sight numbers! The reason is the black info in the bomb sight is just info that is not accurate it's more of a generalization. If you want to use that you'd be off by quite a bit when you drop. The info box that comes up when you hit your Tilde' key is way more accurate and the IAS is what you use for setting the speed for the sight. Also keep in mind that the Ju88 can fly faster at certain altitudes than you can set the speed for the sight. If that happens either pull back a smidge on the power, adjust the trim or a combination of both. It's not necessary to fly at your max if the sight cant keep up lol. I usually do a combo of both so that I can turn off the auto pilot and not have the plane suddenly take a dive or rise ... I keep a slight up trim or neutral just so if I have to adjust my bearing a little the plane still flies pretty much level when I turn off the autopilot ... other wise you turn off and the plane suddenly dives, then you have to climb to make up that up, then you have to lock in the autopilot on the waypoint mark, then worry about speed and it suddenly is low or high and takes time to settle in. etc. it's hectic I prefer .... turn off auto pilot make a slight adjust then turn on autopilot... less stressful LOL ... HE111 you have to go as fast as you can cuz they are slow and easy to run down by the EA so they usually have to be trimmed slight negative a little to keep speed up to try to stay ahead of the ea . but then you have that all over the place problem when your forced to make adjustments .
@@hyoslvrscott Cheers. Another question - to get the IAS in the bomber position do you have to use that dial with the vertical lines on the blue dash? I mean that looks really inacurate? Or is it best to swop to the pilot and see the more accurate dial?
@@Duffloop Yes you have to use the instrument view as the bombardier or better to look from the pilots position. Read the speedometer then set the sight using the tilde ~ box of information, and adjust the IAS line or indicated speed. Sorry for the delay in response I did not see your question until a couple of minutes ago.
Hyo. I remember that name from 15 years ago in the Windhund 116th. S!
That would be me. :) I was in Windhund from April, 14, 2001 until a few month ago. Been in game from that Feb 2001 until present. S!
@@hyoslvrscott I used to fly with you, mate. Shade00. Haven't been on in years.
So you set the bombsight using IAS - but the black arrow on the display looking thru the sight points to TAS ?
