    Здравствуйте!
    Благодарю за видео!
    Много ездил и просто менял фильтр наливая в него топливо, пока не завоздушил систему. Сделал вывод что этот вариант самый простой и без последствий!
    Всего наилучшего вам!

    When changing filter do this for a problem free swop….
    1…. Remove old filter
    2…. Fill new filter with clean diesel
    3….. Fix new filter back on housing , make sure it’s locked by wiggling it
    4…. Start engine and leave to idle for a minute .
    You do not need to worry about any air getting in if you do it this way and you do not need to disconnect any fuel lines and fit a pump…
    👍

    Hi, what is the yellow filter with the push button for? Furthermore, in the transparent part where you see the diesel running, must it be completely full? Because to me you can see air inside beyond the diesel

    Hi what should be the thickness of the priming pump and hoses?

  • @chuckmaddison2924

    The ideal solution for the typical office type that runs out of fuel.
    Won't happen. It needs a built in pump.
    But even that's a bit much for them.

    Haynes manual's stopped being any good in the mid 90s. You used to get info on gearbox, alternator and startermotor rebuilds. Now they recommend take it to your dealer. If I could afford the dealer prices I would not have bought a manual.

    • @HaynesManuals
      @HaynesManuals  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We stopped putting gearbox rebuilds, starter motor, final drive and alternator rebuilds in the manuals 30 years ago because hardly anybody used the information. It was decided the space in the manuals could be better used to give more info on other systems. For instance, in the 90's, a typical manual had maybe 10 pages of wiring diagrams - by the 00's some manuals had over 40...

    How do you get the filter housing off? It doesn't seem to screw either way...

    • @HaynesManuals
      @HaynesManuals  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The filter housing can be tight! On vehicles upto 11/2004 rotate the filter collar clockwise (viewed from above), and on vehicles after this date, rotate the filter body clockwise.

    I think you could have been a bit more helpful with showing how to disconnect the fuel pipe - just saying to press the release button but not actually showing a close up of where it is or what it looks like is a joke.

  • @jaydee2559
    @jaydee2559 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Right looking at this again, your man uses two pipes on that bulb primer - a clear PVC one on each side of the bulb and then a normal black looking fuel pipe.
    Perhaps instead of leaving us all in the dark, you'd be willing to explain this little trick a bit more including pipe sizes instead of being so vague. It's really not helpful when some of us are struggling.

    Thanks for mentioning the pipe size on the bulb guys - clearly need to have one thats big enough to fit over the housing nipple (yet fit over the smaller bulb nipple) and also fit into the original pipe / clip.
    Why can't you people ever be a bit more helpful on detail?

    • @jaydee2559
      @jaydee2559 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@dugsteppa8430 I ended up using PVC clear flexible tubing from B&Q with an internal diameter of 8mm - it fits onto the nipple of the fuel filter housing nicely. Also had to use a short length of plastic pipe with an OUTSIDE diameter of 8mm - to fit into the fuel pipe (then put the PVC over that).
