TBH, I became a pretty well-developed artist during my teen and adult years so the Rapunzel theme makes me picture existing in my own studio with pretty landscapes and handmade gowns on display everywhere lol
the rapunzel opening theme bring back my memories,when life still easy and my family still together.we usually watched barbie rapunzel over and over
I truly understand. It takes me back to when happiness felt easy and my family was still together. I can’t decide whether to smile, cry, or both

Well, iirc, the 12 Dancing Princesses and Rapunzel themes were specifically composed for the films (by Arnie Roth?? I think). But yeah, it's interesting how Barbie introduced so many of us to classical music from a young age!

I think it's bc most of these songs are actually pie es of classical music (Tchaikovsky, Beethoven...) but the selection is great! And the original themes like Rapunzel's and the 12 dancing princesses' are beautiful as well

The Nutcracker pas de deux track truly gives me chills! Especially when I watched Clara and Prince Eric dance to it in the movie, Tchaikovsky is a musical genius!
I would always watch these with my sister and fast forward around 12 years later, I just feel astonished by all the music that is just sitting in my core memory and I never even knew I was in love with these pieces of art...
and even when dudes don't watch these movies... i kinda did... all of them

12 Dancing princesses is Mendelssohn, Diamond Castle has some Brahms in it, Rapunzel Dvorak, Nutcracker and Swan Lake are obviously Tchaikovsky... Barbie really introduced me to classical music and I still love it

All of these movie( including 3 muskeeters) were such a special part of my childhood. I used to watch them countless of times and still felt the same excitement over and over again. I remember how I used to start dancing with them. I miss those golden old days so much.Hearing these soundtracks make me wanna cry so bad 😭😭😭😭
