That was fun! You have introduced me to so many wonderful historical mysteries! I would dress & act like Kinsey Millhone - jeans and cowboy boots!! I would also like to be as tall as she.
That was fun. I really struggled to think of someone I'd want to dress like in the mysteries I read. Though I enjoy reading about women in other eras, I'm not sure I'd want to bother with all the layers of clothes they had to wear. And the more contemporary mysteries I read have either young women wearing tight fitted outfits, or regular folk wearing regular clothes. But then I thought, Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier. I'd like to dress like the main character in Rebecca. I also thought I'd like to dress like Dresden from Jim Butcher's Dresden Files, he's got a cool leather duster and staff - but I'm not a 6 ft. plus man, and I doubt I could pull it off with the same flair that he can, LOL.
Wonderful video Janelle! For my answer to your question, that is easy, Tuppence Beresford! I'd probably pick Partners in Crime because that had so many cases and therefore so many occasions for different outfits and hats in it :D.
@@TooFondofBooksJH oh no! I just realized she isn't in a historical mystery oops...see I would pick someone from a historical mystery but I haven't read enough of them. The ones I have read I love the time period and the clothes but wouldn't necessarily want to act like any of the characters (like in the Flavia de Luce books or the Seven 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle for instance).
I'm going to have to pick Peril in Paris, Blotto, Twinks and the Ex Kings Daughter, (Good Reasoning 😀), murder at the Serpentine Bridge, London, The Missing Heiress, the Mimosa Tree Mystery, Murder Most Malicious, Reckoning At the Riviera Royale, Murder at the Majestic Hotel, death around the bend, this was fun!! Can I be Reine-Marie Gamache instead of Inspector Gamache? LOL
For my answer to dress and act like the main character, I have to say Gemma in the Sherlock Holmes Bookshop series by Vicki Delany. I get such a kick out of her.
This was great! I love how much thought you gave each one. Some interesting questions and choices to be made! I echo the other comments of dressing like Kinsey but will it be the all purpose dress or the jeans and turtleneck...?
Dress and act like: EITHER, Alex Carter, a wildlife researcher (A Solitude of Wolverines, A Blizzard of Polar Bears, A Ghost of Caribou, A Prowl of Jaguars) by Alice Henderson, OR, Nora Kelly, an archaeologist (Thunderhead, The Cabinet of Curiosities, Old Bones, The Scorpion's Tail, Diablo Mesa, Dead Mountain) by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, OR, Mary Minor Haristeen, a postmistress and rancher/farmer of Mrs. Murphy mysteries by Rita Mae Brown and Sneaky Pie Brown. The latter character actually shares my same birthdate in the stories.
If I were to choose an historical mystery series, it would have to be Beatrix Potter, artist, naturalist, author of children's book, farmer, in the Beatrix Potter Cottage Tales by Susan Wittig Albert; surrounded by all the animals in the Lake District of England.
What Fun!!
😀
So fun! Got some great books put on my TBR list!
Great!
This was so much fun! I laughed out loud at your choice to burn the bigger size book.. that is clever! 🤣
I just couldn't choose any other way!

Kinsey Millhone - yes! Great choice!

a leather duster and a staff would be awesome, though!

Tuppence Beresford - fun!

@@CarolynsReadingRamblings It doesn't have to be historical mystery - any kind will do.
This was enjoyable!! I really like rhys bowen and simon brett👍
Thanks!
I think to dress as Elizabeth Miles from City of Lies by Victoria Thompson is great because she steals lots of expensive outfits.
Haha!

Reine-Marie is a great choice!

I haven't read that series. It's on my list of series to try.
Some of these questions would be very hard but this was fun!
You should choose a genre and do it! I would watch that!
This was great! I love how much thought you gave each one. Some interesting questions and choices to be made! I echo the other comments of dressing like Kinsey but will it be the all purpose dress or the jeans and turtleneck...?
Definitely the jeans!
I’d like to dress and act like Kinsey Millhone. (Author Sue Grafton) Fun Video!!
Yes! Kinsey was awesome!
I don’t think I could set Blotto on fire either 😊 I would move to London too unless St Mary Mead was an option.
St. Mary Mead would be amazing!

Those are some interesting choices!
I loved this!
& I think I would be Lady Georgie from Her Royal Spyness because I feel like royalty and I love to solve murder mysteries 🤭🥰😂
What a great choice!
This was such a fun idea!!
It was! And you could do it with any genre you like!

Such a gorgeous setting for a series!
Well this was a good time, you must be the Queen of MMM by now surely!
I would dress like Amory Ames from Murder at the Brightwell.
Ohhh, that's a good one!
Super fun video idea! I might steal it 😉
You should! I would love to see that video!
I do not understand if the choices are yours or just from the rad...??Why you do not decide for yourself?
It's just fun having something randomly choose 2 books that I have to decide between for each question.
@@TooFondofBooksJH thank you!
