Very difficult Concerto and it is easy to make unreasonable comments.Ask yourself if you you can do better.Don't judge not to be judged! good performance!
the e-natural in cadenza is option of Tarkovi, because i have listened him solo with orchestra in Phillarmonie-berlin, and he was played this cadenza... it´s option not a mental lapse
Such a great sound, great articulation, great double tonguing, great expressiveness, and an overall fantastic performance! My only cratique of this is that the slower and more lyrical sections, especially the section where he plays with the mute, were too fast. That can take away from the expressiveness of those sections.
Shankovich No, if the trumpet player tells you the piano music is easy, slap them with the sheet music. If the piano player tells you it's easy, praise them for being so good haha.
Just curious, at 13:00 I'm used to that starting on an Eb. Are there different cadenzas? Other than that part, the cadenza is the same to the one that I've played....Anyways, fantastic playing by one of the best players out there!
Понравилось. Хороший звук. Только уж больно форсируется двойное стаккато и не всегда оправдано прерывание фраз лишним дыханием. А гамку вначале нужно играть, все-таки, двойным стаккато.
+Annabelle Grace I'm a junior right now (played this my sophomore year) One thing I did was take the piece in chunks at a mind numbing tempo. For example i would run the tempo change at the bottom of the first page at 60 or 70 until i could flawlessly play it then boost tempo. Do that for the whole piece! How long do you have to learn it?
+Annabelle Grace Cause I had about 6 weeks to learn it and this is what worked for me. I don't know if you have a longer period of time or not! Best of luck! If you have any more questions I will be happy to answer them
Listen to Dokshitzer. The valved trumpet has so much more life. This man is a wonderful player of course. That trumpet has a tendency to chop notes. Of younger players listen to Helseth play this as well
I find in comparing this to Dokshitzer the use of the rotary trumpet limits the expression one can use and enhances, to some detriment, the technical sections. I found it overall somewhat sterile. I myself could never even shine his shoes as a player but I would rather play like Dokshitzer. I certainly would NEVER thumb it down. His expression in the soft section is fresh and quite exciting but I have my old fashioned bias in play. Tarkovi is such a wonderful player. Like to hear him do this with a symphony. The rotary is like using a cornet, small sound.
@@NotBroihon lt's the new wave of how the trumpet should go go back to the days of the cornu. Ye ah, the rotary sounds smaller and like the cornet is more agile. I am old school. If you don't think C Trumpets, cornets and rotary trumpets sound smaller l can't help you. Try medication and therapy.
@@theimp5901 Instead of medication I studied trumpet for 5 years. If you truly believe that a rotary trumpet sounds "smaller" you're mentally challenged. Try medication and therapy.
Мне показалось ,что вступление было какое-то манерное,да и пассаж гамму фа-мажор во вступлении вместо двойного стаккато сыграл легато. В целом динамика утрирована.Как оркестровый трубач не плохой.
its a beautiful performance in a recital form of this huge concerto
would love to hear him play this with a symphony
Agreed
its amazing how much better this sounds with a rotary trumpet
Its only because of the rotatry valves, for sure
Gabor,Parabéns!
Bravíssimo!
Som potente e limpo.
Articulações limpas e cristalinas pertencentes a um excelente trompetista.
Verdade !
There is so much music going here. Truly fantastic! Marvelous pianist! And an extremely hard part at that!
Beautiful sound and a great composition for trumpet!
Fantastic musical performance !

That pianist isn't getting enough recognition!
what is wrong with your perception? i can't understand.
He seemed to handle it very well.

I agree - the piano accompaniment is reduced from an orchestral score, and it's challenging! He plays it very nicely....
@@TaeminChung Seems like there's something wrong with your perception mate. You might wanna get some glasses :p
Amazing pianist!
impeccabile esecuzione!
I think they both did it really well... I dream to play trumpet like Gábor Tarkövi :). Congratulations!

I feel so bad for this pianist
Omri Barak what parts ? I can't understand. what is the reason? He is so amazing and marvelous !
He said that because the piano is so hard
But he‘s a very good pianist, so the difficulty level is ok

This is a bi**h to play on piano. If pianist tells you it's easy or not that bad, slap him in the face with the sheet music.

Omar Arnouk - yes, the E or Eb is often debated, but either is fine from a harmonic perspective.

I need play trumpet
I hate to say it but the European symphonic trumpeters have it all over the Americans.

yes. its a difficult piano transcription.
There are still limits you can do on the piano and its not an orchestra!
