    Great train store. We always stop in with our grandkids when we are in the Denver area visiting them.

    Super. I miss all of the hobby shops that we use to have in Colorado. Caboose, Mizell's, Hobby Hut, Academy, Lemle's Roundhouse, Hank's, Don's, Colpar, Roy's, Hobbytown, Trains in Brass, on and on, from Colorado Springs to Denver to Fort Collins, and even Cheyenne, Wyo, and Grand Junction to Burlington, I use to shop them all. I even bought the Athearn HO EMD GP-9 Bluebox dummy locomotive that sat up on display for all those years at Caboose Hobbies, when they were dismantling the Bluebox display area. It never got the bolt hold down hole they drilled in the frame filled in, but it does still operate on my layout, almost 40 years after I bought it. Rocky Mountain Train Supply has always treated me like a VIP, and I will return again, just for the kindness. Good video. Hello from the Tracy Mountain Railway in Colorado. 💙 T.E.N.

      It’s such a shame to hear about all of these shops closing. I miss the golden era of model railroad brick and mortar shops. We used to have a shop down in Albuquerque, NM that was called Trains West. Great little shop. It closed more than ten years ago. Thank you for watching my video!

    Nice tour dude. I didn't know there was a new hobby shop in Denver after Caboose bowed out. I'll have to swing by the next time I'm up there.

      Caboose Hobbies, Youth in Model Railroading, Rocky Mountain Train Supply, Hobby Lobby, Colpar, N Scale Supply, Hobby Town, Roy's, Colorado Model Railroad Museum, and Intermountain Railway Products is every train store in Colorado that I know of now. 💙 T.E.N.

      @@allenscottmontgomery3929 Intermountain use to be on 9th street, by the bowling alley, in Longmont. It had a nice showroom, and I use to buy train cars there all the time, but they moved to a smaller building on Boston street, and I haven't gone to the new place. I also forgot about Don's smaller hobby shop in Greeley, it's a lot like the reopened Caboose Hobbies. They also recently closed the Hobbytown here in Longmont, and Hobby Lobby cut back on the trains and accessories, so it is a day out and a drive to get to a hobby shop. 💙 T.E.N.

    Thanks for reviewing this store! Now you got me wanting to save up and go see it! I've been wanting to get more into N Scale modeling. I got all the items I need so far. The track(KATO), an engine(Alaskan 4009), Scenery Making Materials from grass, trees, to ballast, and Smooth It. Honestly been wanting to switch my engine from an Alaskan engine to something I can actually work with. Since Alaska is more reliant on passenger trains than freight. I too would buy them out of everything N Scale in there lol! I'd probably get like 3 freight trains and about 30 - 50 freight cars. As right now I only have about 10 freight cars and the Alaskan engine. My local train hobby store has a good selection don't get me wrong. Just feel like at times I'm limited and looking more online for stuff.

      It’s great store with great people who have good knowledge and who are friendly. That’s good start you have there. I really like the Alaskan paint scheme, but I know what you mean about having something that would be a little more prototypical. I have engines that don’t make sense with some of the rolling stock that I have. It’s definitely a store where you need to set a budget and keep it or you will max your credit card lol. It’s definitely nice to be able to go into a brick and mortar shop and actually hold something in your hands. Online is nice and all, but there’s something about buying in store that’s well stocked. Thank you for watching!

    • @modelrailroadingthesouthwest
      @modelrailroadingthesouthwest  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@franzbrunner499 it’s a difficult website to navigate. You need to get the SKU number or part number and add it to the order form then it add it to your cart. so you browse the catalog by manufacture and you find the SKU number you want and then you added to the order form. Then you pay through the cart. I’ve added two links one for the actual website then one for the order form. You can even add HO scale SKU numbers if you would like to buy HO scale stuff although you really cannot browse the HO scale inventory.

    • @modelrailroadingthesouthwest
      @modelrailroadingthesouthwest  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Online they sell primarily N scale. The website is nscalesupply.com. There you can click the button that says “click here to order”. There you can add item numbers to the box and order. You can put in any item number to order for any scale. Their system on the website reflects what the store has in stock. On the n scale website you can look at the catalog too. You can also give them a call to see what’s in stock. Thank you for watching!
