    Her hair is beautiful. Prenatal vitamins also help hair growth too. I remember in my pregger days taking prenatal vitamins, my hair was so long and thick. I had thick edges too. But, later on in life diets changed, and now it's growing back using good black owned products and putting a few oils together on my own: black seed oil, clover oil, olive oil, peppermint oil, biotin oil, grape seed oil, avocado oil, chebe powder/ oil, rosemary oil, eucalyptus oil, lemongrass oil, jojoba oil, and batana oil.

    • @OpulentBeauty2
      @OpulentBeauty2 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Do you think that It was the actual vitamins that made your hair thick and long? Or was it the pregnancy hormones and the extra blood flow in your body that made it grow? Just asking

    • @5050TM
      @5050TM ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Pregnancy hormones make hair grow 👍🏽

    • @Kims_Whims
      @Kims_Whims ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Seems like it's just better overall health being pregnant and not just prenatal vitamins alone

    • @neeuqamilam1170
      @neeuqamilam1170 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @watchmethrive1 I believe all of that. Although I mentioned prenatal vitamins, the pregnancy hormones included. However, before I was taking the vitamins, the hair growth was not moving as fast. Everybody is different when pregnant. . 😉

    • @neeuqamilam1170
      @neeuqamilam1170 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @faerywitchful1 yep I agree, but it wasn't moving as fast until I was on the vitamins. 😉

    I have a faithful follower of yours for years now and it is absolutely amazing how long and beautiful your hair has grown. I have suffered from so many setbacks, then one day I decided to go back to the basics and take out some time to learn my hair, my diet, my habits etc. once I mastered that, it was on and popping. Now I have a simple regimen; I actually wear crochet braids and aI wash my hair once every week. I pre-poo my scalp with coconut oil and then use Creme of Nature shampoo on scalp only rinse and seal with a leave-in conditioner, tea tree cream and Blue Magic or Softee Indian Hemp hair grease from the Dollar Tree lol. I spray my scalp twice a week with braid spray and my hair is growing like crazy now. Thank you for your videos I love love them all.💞💞💞💞

    Yes sis! I definitely agree with these tips! Im at waist length because I band my hair and African thread my ends. When I detangle my hair--I finger detangle and follow up with a comb and then a brush. However, I no longer comb and brush my hair to where it can glide through my hair. I do a picking motion and I do the same motion with the brush, I learned that no matter how smooth we try to get our kinks it will still shrink back up and do it’s own thing, the constantly trying to get the strand smooth where a comb can glide is damaging unrealistic expectation because it will still spring back up and get detangled, I detangle enough to prevent locs but I don’t try to make it silky smooth.

    Your hair is so gorgeous!!! I’m only a year into my intentional hair growth journey, but I do most of the things you’ve suggested, which is affirming! I will say even tho I try to avoid retwisting every night, it has been hard to avoid for me. My hair is thick but fine, so any time it gets wet it loosens my twist to the point the unravel. Any tips for navigating around this? I have to moisturize pretty regularly for scalp health

    • @la4894
      @la4894 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I have the same issue! I was thinking to start pinning mine down with Bobby pins. So slightly stretch the twist without too much tension then pin it down. I’d take care removing the clips.

    • @okekemary
      @okekemary ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could try braiding the sections instead or since water elongates and stretches your curls out, you don't have to wash in twists, just be careful to concentrate on your scalp and hold your hair(the tips) out so your hair doesn't tangle. I don't know if that makes sense 😅

      Also, coming to agree with the no relaxers. My mom is what you would consider mixed and had butt length as a child she got her hair license at 19 and was an active licensed hairstylist that correctly used relaxers on my twin sister and I's hair until we finished high school. My mom did our hair every week. My twin sister and I went natural and she commented how out hair was naturally longer now than when she cared for it and we didn't take care of our hair well at all. I still don't. When we were in high school her hair was about bra strength length and I asked her if she would intentionally cut her hair that length. She didn't that is just the max it would grow with relaxers. She stopped relaxing and she is back to butt length. Nothing changed about her styling her hair when she went natural from relaxers. Her curls can't withstand with the weight of her hair even as a natural so she stills just blow dries it and straightens her hair every two weeks.

      It could be something in your regimen: how you are handling your hair? over brushing/combing not finger detangling? Keeping the ends trimmed and tucked away from rubbing against clothes.

      @@Gladiator_in_a_Suit i believe so. I stopped finger detangling as i found i couldn't get it done properly. Plus i was a bit rough with it when i get impatient with it. I do keep it away from brushing on clothing.

    Please change the batteries in your smoke detector! Have a brother or cousin do it if you’re single. Thank you for the video!
