I’m impressed how far snow removal has come since my days 50 years ago in my CJ-5 w/6 1/2’ Meyers straight blade on it. But, I always had a ball doing it. I really enjoy watching these snow removal vids. I’ve been in Florida for the past 40 years!!!
Love the comment to the owner of the Honda CRV just taking a sunday stroll through the parking lot while, not just one but two plows working....... gotta love it!!!
I love these videos of showing how to set a plow up onto a truck and this video of a tractor removing snow. I hope to see some more plow videos, maybe even some raw footage!!
Another great show Stan..Gotta start watching these at night so I can eat popcorn..That plow looks awesome ! However the new blade blower tractor I used for a while was twenty years ago..And you had to have the right guy on it lots of close calls.I wanted the blower for below grade loading docks .Gave up on it used high farm tractor and loader was faster..Thanks again Stan !
So glad you stopped to watch and thank you for the feedback. Yes it is a bit scary to watch our driver but he is a pro. He understands the machine and spacing of this set up so well. He knows how to be accurate and quick.

I have been operating a 70 hp tractor in Muskoka Ontario, Canada for 10 years doing rural cottage properties. My tractor is equipped with a 7 ft double auger blower on the back and a 7 ft articulated straight blade on the loader. We have trucks as well. Personally I prefer the tractor for it's versatility and visibility since I can move snow in both directions.

Also with the correct equipment it is often much more comfortable for the driver. Please let us know if you need anything new for your business or have any questions. service@cotech.ca
Ben Ueberschar Hey Ben. Tractors are the way to go up here for sure 💪 plows have their place in lots and driveways that have room to stock pile but tractors are definitely the most versatile piece of equipment. What company do you own? Or work for?

He thought about how to make it self De-Ice how to lower vibrations for driver comfort. There is quite a bit of subtle details that make a big difference in operation.
This was great to see, I thought the skidloader would win because I have seen your guys run the skidloaders and they seem so fast and easy to turn around etc, never thought this even that I live and have driven snowplows with the farm tractors back home here in Sweden for years
Great video, we had a pretty good winter in northern BC, Canada this year too. Very nice to see you put in some Canadian content with the guys from Coetech eh. I also have a plate on my tractor as do all equipment running on the road here. Considering upgrading this year to a similar tractor and setup as they have there with that tractor so very interesting to watch. Sounded like you were doing commentary at a hockey game there for a bit with all that excitement. Well done.
Glad you stopped to have a look. We really do appreciate That Stanley made the trip for us. FYI we are also extending ourselves to dealers much past Quebec. We are currently working with a few to get down your way. If there is anyone you would most recommend please let us know. We are looking to make some quality partnerships. service@cotech.ca
Here we have so much snow that not just comercial and businesses have to hire a service but residential surveys as well for peoples drive ways. This is why the tractor blower is so effective here. We need to be accurate and quick. Line it up. drag it out... back up the blower to move it and next driveway.
Tractor=no traction. On the other hand, Stan, I love the kweef recovery comment!🤣👊🏼. I may have said something worse. I see the snowblower almost hit everything. This is what i HATE about my pull plows. I hit a power transformer a few days ago with it.... scared the hell out of me!
Wow 😮 those two sure can make the snow ❄️ fly!! I have both a skid steer and a compact tractor 🚜. I’m a retired farmer and have moved snow ❄️ for 60 years. The tractor will out do a skid steer in an open space. The skid steer does way better in a close space. So they both have their place. That means you need to have both and be in debt for the rest of your life.Nice part of having two is when one is broke down the other one can get you by. I still live in the country so I have parked the skid steer and use the tractor. I see much better from the tractor. I think 🤔 it is safer to use.Great video, thanks!
Thank you so much for your feedback. Love to hear from people who have experience and tried several methods. We really hope we created something that allows a combination of power with the speed and precision of both worlds.
Every time I watch your videos it blows my mind how much you look like a guy I worked with. The guys from Michigan maybe you guys are long lost brothers.
We have had lots of practice trying to get the best and most efficient means to clear out this way. We certainly get tested by mother nature around here.
I understand your frustration with people pulling out after the lot has been cleared. But here in Quebec snow can fall 4-5 times a week from november to april. No snow removal warnings are issued . Contractors are expected to come back daily. A different realty up here✌
well Stanley, I have a Kubota tractor with a snow blade on the front and snow blower on the back and chains all the way around. It beats everything out there the same size. I of course live in the Mountains of the Kootenays of British Columbia Canada and its not flat so you need chains or you are not going to move any snow very far. Tractors win every time especially when there are real hills involved. get a tractor you won't be disappointed. Good video.
The "whatever this stuff is" is glycol type 1. Its a heated de-icer to melt away frost and snow. Theres also type 4 which is a green goo which is an anti-icer usually applied after type 1 when it is snowing.
It most definitely makes a difference but we make products for every kind of snow and ice and yuck mother nature tries to throw at us. We have seen it all here.
They have a great system with the blower on the back where the weight is distributed pretty evenly throughout the tractor giving it better traction on ice especially. I'm not sure what tracks were on the skid steer, but it was definitely at a disadvantage in this case. That was fun to watch, especially watching the blower at the end getting the snow out of the way. I'd just the to see what would happen if a stone got picked up and where it might end up. I bought an old Arien's blower, about a '79 model for $60 that had a blown head gasket. I replaced the head gasket, tuned it up and made my own custom chains out of 5/16" chain as the chains I looked at were pretty cheap looking and I would have had to cut out half the chain to fit my tires and it works quite well and for the same price. Also had to replace the impeller shaft bearing and added reinforced rubber pads to the impellers which seemed to help it out a bit. I also took the tires off, cleaned the rims and all the rust out and then after painting the rims cut some old bicycle tubes to use as liners to protect the tubes. Thanks for sharing.
Yes our company is northern Quebec but we have dealers throughout as well as other provinces and now some dealers in the USA. WE have several products but we try to make them withstand different kinds of snow conditions. Not everyone gets that fun easy fluffy stuff. if you ever have any questions please feel free at service@cotech.ca

Stan awesome video. these guys should of watched your video when u put the new tracks on the 259D. Thanks way there skid could grab more. Speaking of where did you get those tracks from?
Stanley tell you what man you’re quite a character in addition to that I still think you can teach hand puppet classes and Give it some thought let me know what you think Brad from Minnesota
The tractor has the weight on the backend with that blower stuck out so far back. Also they stacked the deck against the skidsteer by using one with construction tracks. One with even rubber tires would have pushed better than the construction tracks. I think their blades has possibilities. I would like to see it in more "normal" snow over this slushy snow. In this video the blade did a terrible job of cleaning the pavement. I would have a lot of complaints leaving that much slush on the pavement. Thanks for showing us these different "tools" that are out there.
Long time subscriber I’m dying from the Canadian jokes man, I love in Ontario Canada and we have barley gotten any snow this year we just got our first good snow fall only 4 inches lmfao
Unfortunately the forecast called for a blizzard when we made the arrangements. In true mother natures style... she decided to rain on us instead. Still really pleased we got to get something to show for Stanely's long travels and we enjoyed his company.
Have you tried the QuattroPlow by SnowWolf? We have two of them. One on a skidsteer and another on a tractor with a blower similar to the one in your video. They are a bit slower when changing between push and pull but we love the ability to angle them while pushing/pulling.
Looks like a great snowplow. Your race was probably in the worst type of conditions. It would be nice to see the race with colder temperatures with deep but lighter snow!
Just starting the video, but quick to comment. I like the new logo/intro you added in there over the horse sound. Need to make that longer, by time i was trying to check out the logo it was already gone. no music. make that thing 5 - 7 seconds at least.
Well this Vid is 4 years late! Could have come talked to us in maple grove. We’ve been running Deere’s with Cotech expandable pull plows on the back and push box on the front for a while now. New Kubota unit this year with snowblower on the front with pull plow on the back.
One reason why the skid steer was having more problems vs the tractor is the skid steer had trax which decreased it psi, the entire weight of the machine is distributed over a larger area which decreases it psi, any seasoned snow removal e pert who is also a mechanic will tell u thin small tires work best for snow because they will cut thru the snow easiest and exert most psi in a confined area. More weight (psi) equals better traction.
🤔 I think the real reason why the tractor preformed better was that the track machine was clearly still running summer fuel and the tractor had fresh winter fuel ! At least do a fair test will ya! Also for testing purposes they should make the snow as light and puffy as possible and not that messy and heavy stuff 😩
Living all my life along the coast of California where it never snows this seems really strange. First time I saw a pickup with a plow on the front I thought it was for pushing dirt. Looks like the tractor with the variable width plow and snowblower attachment is really handy up north.
Haha they were all good sports haha that was a good race :) but their plow is definitely good I like how it can be switched to plow forward or backwards
Hi Stan. Just wondering if you have heard of HLA SNOWWING? I see you use a lot of pushers. I've been plowing for roughly 30 years in Ontario Canada and the snow wing is very versatile. If it was a sectional it would be amazing!
We are a canadian company and just to let you know we do much more than just the one featured. HLA is well known brand with a great reputation as well. We just do different things.
HaHa, I was on pins and needles waiting for one to hit a car. But I could see the plow being handy in that you can trailer the plow and skid together but still have a 10ft plow. Better for those small businesses or residential accounts.
They may as closely matched as possible as far as horsepower/torque however they aren’t even remotely close to being evenly matched. The tractor outweighs the TrackSteer by quit a bit with the addition of the rear mounted snow blower. On top of that the tractor has snow tires and the TrackSteer has Dirt tracks. Had the TrackSteer had Snow Tracks it would have beaten the tractor easily in the tightly confined parking lot.
It’s called Glycol for de-icing aircraft. And you have a certain time limit that the aircraft needs to be airborne or might have to go back for another shot of fluid. 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
My little tractor has a front and rear blade in the places with piles on both ends you can fly cause you push both directions...without turning super fast.
Got pulled over with my case 521 for I was with my 4 ways on But the rotary light on top wasnt working because branches keep on messing the wires Result 500 $ dollars fine Been born and raise in Québec And work hard to get out of this sht hole province God bless bro
That just sucks. Up here in Norway i operate a L90H with a 3meter snow bucket and have for years without being stopped even once even tho the legal limit is 2.55m. Heck this year my firm even have an L120G on the roads with the same bucket, amd that machine is too heavy and to wide to be legal on the roads
Cool fun lol poor loader was disadvantaged maybe should've gave em a 10-15 min head start or snow tracks with spikes and not allowed the tractor to use his blower lol
My rig is a LS 4155 with an angle blade up front and a 3 pt box scraper in the rear. I would trade out the box scraper in a heartbeat for that plow. My route is mountainous single lane paved and gravel roads. One of the neighbors has a skid steer, he struggles on anything with a slope, my tractor runs circles around it.
"And we're gonna take a real queef.. qui... queef? I think thats a girl fart." Ohh Stan... you're close. It is a girl fart, but a fart coming from her front butt. LOL! Sam Thank you for being a supporter of Cotech. If you ever need us you can contact service@cotech.ca
Like the new intro graphic.
Thanks Dean !
That was fun to watch.they sure did come close to hitting some cars.
I use a 9' blower out here in the country and give the snow back to God, you can only push and stock pile so much.
Let the wind take away as much as possible..
Great looking tractor
Nice units your using!
That's a lot of moving parts on the business end of that thing. And you're supposed to store it outside in the winter?
How did you enjoy ur trip here to Canada 🇨🇦
Living all my life along the coast of California where it never snows this seems really strange. First time I saw a pickup with a plow on the front I thought it was for pushing dirt. Looks like the tractor with the variable width plow and snowblower attachment is really handy up north.
Haha they were all good sports haha that was a good race :) but their plow is definitely good I like how it can be switched to plow forward or backwards
What is that weird white ground cover you guys have? What purpose does it serve? How long do you leave it on before you have to scrape it off?
I would have chains on that tractor for sure. Thanks Stan that was great!
You're welcome Edward, thanks for watching !
We run r1 tires and install studs on ours. Work great!
We have it set up with Nokian tires. They work very well. Great traction
Canada via Jersey?? That seems wierd....going south east to go north???
Not too unusual. I flew from Toronto to Cincinnati to Milwaukee last year. They probably have a daily flight in from nj.
CYQB (Quebec City) to EWR (Newark)
HaHa, I was on pins and needles waiting for one to hit a car. But I could see the plow being handy in that you can trailer the plow and skid together but still have a 10ft plow. Better for those small businesses or residential accounts.
Stan loves it he does the old huck Finn trick on these guys , maybe they’ll paint your fence this summer
Stan, at first I thought you called it a Kotex plow. I thought to myself, hey, I already have one those, in my pants!
It’s called Glycol for de-icing aircraft. And you have a certain time limit that the aircraft needs to be airborne or might have to go back for another shot of fluid.
👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Does that tractor not have cutting brakes? I feel like you need them to turn when the bucket or plow is down.
How many cars did the tractor back into with the blower ?
Hey Stan, I just asked about these plows. It would be nice to see you demo one back at home. I wouldn’t mind purchasing one myself
here in NY we have spec-comm plates on our payloaders
welcome to my country :) im born in the Bas-St-Laurent :)
Thanks Steeve!
Well Hello friend.
@@VIDEOCOTECH fier d'etre du Bas -St-Laurent :) Biencourt mon village :)
My little tractor has a front and rear blade in the places with piles on both ends you can fly cause you push both directions...without turning super fast.
I thought the snow was over where you located?
Got pulled over with my case 521 for I was with my 4 ways on
But the rotary light on top wasnt working because branches keep on messing the wires
Result 500 $ dollars fine
Been born and raise in Québec
And work hard to get out of this sht hole province
God bless bro
That just sucks. Up here in Norway i operate a L90H with a 3meter snow bucket and have for years without being stopped even once even tho the legal limit is 2.55m. Heck this year my firm even have an L120G on the roads with the same bucket, amd that machine is too heavy and to wide to be legal on the roads
Still on the positive side 😅most people are nice here and so is the rest of Canada.
Oh that is just not cool
Cool fun lol poor loader was disadvantaged maybe should've gave em a 10-15 min head start or snow tracks with spikes and not allowed the tractor to use his blower lol
My rig is a LS 4155 with an angle blade up front and a 3 pt box scraper in the rear. I would trade out the box scraper in a heartbeat for that plow.
My route is mountainous single lane paved and gravel roads. One of the neighbors has a skid steer, he struggles on anything with a slope, my tractor runs circles around it.
You came to quebec?
When the hell did we get snow in october?
"And we're gonna take a real queef.. qui... queef? I think thats a girl fart." Ohh Stan... you're close. It is a girl fart, but a fart coming from her front butt. LOL! Love the videos, keep em coming! You're the reason why I got started with my lawncare and property maintenance business in Western Kentucky! Love the content you produce and how we can apply it to our businesses and contracts with our customer base.
That was fun to watch
Love to hear it, thanks for watching !!
Do you know of a company that makes snow blowers for front of pickup 🤔
hey stanley you should have gone to Normand industries for snowblowers in Saint- Pascal it'S like 50 km fgrom Rivière-du-Loup
How many minutes were outside in the freezing Canadian winter?
