My family lost properties and lives against Awolowo but most well meaning Nigerians including my family, know that while noone is perfect, Obafemi Awolowo is very highly regarded in the history of the Yorubas. Obafemi Awolowo is still the most revered Yoruba public figure who contributed to the accolades attributed to most Nigerians, especially abroad, till date. The free education programme of the Action Group policy really contributed immensely to all families, Yorubas and non-Yorubas. The demotion of our traditional institutions started with colonial dictators and all successive governments have played their part. I'd advice that you exercise some caution and not relish on where 'The Great Sage' might have erred since it is clear, in my view, that the togetherness of all Yorubas is the main interests of all, including yourself.
