    We need to protect the chicken from the rain and sunny days. Do you think that plants of the top will do it I don't.

    It also has some drawbacks excess waste from chicken leads to death of fish

    The dung from the chicken won't affect the health of the fish?

    • @bfar3stephenarlolapid964
      @bfar3stephenarlolapid964 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think more area of the fish tank exposed to sunlight would help, on this current design agree with you that the fish would die, fron an aquaculture standpoint i think 10% of the total tank area ia equal to the area of the coop and 90% of the fish tank area exposed to sunlight but may be reduced depeding on the strength of the pump going to plants and the rate that they absorb nutrients

      @bfar3stephenarlolapid964 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@reynandodancis1058 same for veggies that use part manure for fertilizers, the dung actually fertulizes the pond to grow natural food which the fish eat, its not the poop that is eaten by the fish but the aquatic plants that grow, but herbivore manure is used because carnivores manure often contain parasites, best to have a bit of macro filters like sacks in between the pond where the manure falls and maybe have gates to control water flow from the manure ponds, so you can close it when the water become too green, too much aquatic plant growth or manure would kill the fish

    • @elsonsti
      @elsonsti ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bfar3stephenarlolapid964 the pond filtration system cost lots of money because the amount chicken manure per day is huge. you need a bottom drain system with rotary drum filter to filter out all solid wastes.

      A roof is all that is needed.
      Use rain barrels to catch the rain water, use that water to replenish the system.

    Isn’t it unhygienic for the fish to eat the waste from the chicken?

    • @musicteacher5757

      There are almost no germs or parasites that will cross from widely divergent animals.
      This is why predators usually eat herbivores, because they rarely catch the same diseases.

    • @NoSpamForYou
      @NoSpamForYou 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You could still use this idea but just as a chicken coop where they lay eggs and sleep at night to keep safe from predators. Let them roam during the day, They will still poop inside sometimes...
      I think they will like to be in the shade of the plants so they may hang out there when not foraging the yard for bugs. Then you need to buy less feed.
