God saved me from the forbidden knowledge of the occult and New Age/New Thought practices that I had deep dove on after losing my late father. I was practicing 3rd eye meditations, remote viewing, clairaudience, mediumship, CIA gateway tapes, CE5 protocols, if it was paranormal, I was reading, watching or thinking about it. During this period, my dad’s Bible was amongst our things in the house, and I felt open enough to read it again during these practices. Looking back it felt like God was opening my eyes in areas of the spiritual realm I wasn’t quite ready to grasp. One day during these practices and after watching a paranormal show, where people were casting out demons with the power of the Holy Spirit. A small but solid thought appeared in my mind and I remember repeating the words of that idea “If the Holy Spirit is the only authority in the spirit realm, who am I to clothe myself in a light bubble and enter the spirit realm!?”. From that moment forward, it all started to turn against me, the knowledge I was gaining from these meditations and the practices themselves. I had several paranormal encounters but the one that triggered the most was walking through a graveyard, middle of a nice sunny day, I had a sharp ringing in my right ear like I had been physically slapped on my ear, and I recognised this as a spiritual attack/encounter. I scoffed at the spirit and told it it couldn’t follow me and had to stay there. Then on my right arm I noticed a swelling, burning sensation and watched as a 4-6 inch scratch appeared on my arm, having not been anywhere near a source that could have caused it. The following morning I awoke with a deep, soul shaking guilt, a conviction of something I had done, but had no idea what that thing was. It was accompanied by the sound/sensation of a deep rumbling on the horizon, like a deep fire, a roar that I couldn’t just hear, but feel and it felt connected to the guilt I was feeling. Nobody else could hear it, and as I went on with my day, I couldn’t shake it. I was bursting into tears randomly, deep sorrowful tears. I felt like I was going to die at any moment, and all the “alien” “uap” materials I had been consuming began to become real and the skies seemed over crowded too. I had heavy suggestions of self-ending, they were so oppressive that I recognised that I was not the source of the suggestions and they dissipated as soon as I recognised it. I Googled “Dark night of the soul” and it felt like something far worse than this. Later that night the source came back and brought me to tears again, I called out to God “God! You know me!???”, “I don’t want to do these things anymore, I invited them in and this is what happens, I don’t want to do this, please help me!” Within a minute a silence filled the room, and I felt peace of mind, I then felt guided to an online sermon by David Diga Hernandez, and finally understood who Jesus Christ is, and that He paid the price of my sin on the cross. I stood in my living room at the altar call and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, arms raised! The following day, I was compelled to get rid of all New Age books, tarot cards, crystals, salt lamps, charms, smudging sticks and a psychic device I had been building but never used, all tossed or destroyed and put in the bin and prayed over my home (still do). I haven’t looked back, and I owe Jesus my life, all the glory belongs to God! I was even delivered from 20+ years of wrestling with pr0n, and haven’t had the urge to go back or even entertain the idea, something I was not able to do in my own powers only by the power of the Holy Spirit and putting faith in Jesus, who makes all things possible!! 🙏🏻❤️🔥✝️ I haven’t gone a day without reading a verse in the Bible, I may not be the best Christian, but I know I cannot live without God, Jesus and the help of the Holy Spirit! The spirit of fear has had a hold of me for A long time. I believe that takes me down a rabbit hole of forbidden knowledge. God showed me this recently. I've never heard anything about it till now, but I've been telling everyone. It is the root of our thinking that we can succeed in this life without God. Similar to Lucifer before the garden. We must lean not to our own understanding but fully trust Him to guide us to our purpose and the furtherance of the Kingdom. It's the apple against the bitter cup. Adam and Eve started the life of self and sin by eating the apple. Jesus partook of the bitter cup of obedience unto death for the payment of our sins so that we can be transformed by the renewing of our minds rather than conforming to this world. So we might rely on the knowledge of God's revelation through the Bible and through His Spirit.

My 2cents for what it's worth.. "secular" music has flavors and genres, just like money can be used for good or evil. Comes down to the message within. And the hardest part is we cannot unlearn harmful lyrics, they stick with us. So you have to use discernment. Outside of Christian music i like some of the classic 80s and 90s, but i really dig Trance and lofi.. mostly for the rhythm, i find it soothing. ✌️

I feel so conflicted about this and hope someone can share any advice. Is A Course in Miracles ok to read? It speaks of Jesus and makes me think it is ok. My confliction leads me to feel this is not from God.

@willkeasling1526 Knowledge from God is good. Knowledge from sin is bad. Adam and Eve couldn't sin before they ate the fruit. They could do anything they felt like doing, and it wouldn't be sin except for the one tree. They knew nothing that sinners know from experiencing a life apart from God, and everything they knew kept them in the intimate presence of God. It was basically Heaven.
Knowledge is of Good and evil. Choose knowledge that Glorifies God, that is good knowledge and comes from the Word. The modern world seems to agree with some but not all the old testament laws. Im not sure what sanctification does over time, I picked up the bible three years ago. My 2cents for what it's worth.. "secular" music has flavors and genres, just like money can be used for good or evil. Comes down to the message within. And the hardest part is we cannot unlearn harmful lyrics, they stick with us. So you have to use discernment. Outside of Christian music i like some of the classic 80s and 90s, but i really dig Trance and lofi.. mostly for the rhythm, i find it soothing. ✌️

@willkeasling1526 Knowledge from God is good. Knowledge from sin is bad. Adam and Eve couldn't sin before they ate the fruit. They could do anything they felt like doing, and it wouldn't be sin except for the one tree. They knew nothing that sinners know from experiencing a life apart from God, and everything they knew kept them in the intimate presence of God. It was basically Heaven.

There was no tv, no cars, media, internet 150 years ago. People were mainly farmers with their families and didn't leave the family farm. Met the farmer next door and married the daughter or son. @nne81601 @nne81601 i dont disagree, some Christians say thats not the case. My issues is i thought the holy spirit leads you to convict you of sins and or corrections. The modern world seems to agree with some but not all the old testament laws. Im not sure what sanctification does over time, I picked up the bible three years ago. Definitely have had alot of deliverance though. With Jesus's blood we are under grace not law, my assumption was the holy spirit has you conform to this over time, I think I'm wrong on this now.
