Thanks for this EWF specific video as it provides a lot of useful information I was not clear about. I appreciate you showing the drainage channels and where water might get in if it does. I knew about the channels from previous discussions with you guys but seeing them in a video is helpful. It appears from videos that there is a black seal over the outside of the triangle hinges and other seals are visible, so its hard to tell where water gets through when it does. Also, it would have been nice to see how the AntiShanty worked in the rain without the EWF to see how much water is channeled away if it did get through. Maybe you could do an informal test video in your parking lot with a hose, sprayer, and power washer to record the performance without the EWF under different types of conditions. I want to have some level of confidence about how much water might come in without the EWF as I would be inclined to not bother with it knowing that any water would be channeled away if it got in and nothing got wet.
Also, I didn’t realize but am very happy that there are zippered openings at each triangle end of the EWF and some snaps to keep the loose flaps open to let air and light in when not raining. It’s good to know that the EWF triangle ends can be opened when deployed for the duration in conditions expected to be mostly wet and cloudy, and the roof solar panels and roof fan aren’t needed. For those of us that live too far to easily visit your facility, your videos are the best way to see features and performance, so please keep them coming. I am going to the Flagstaff, AZ Overlander event in September, so I look forward to seeing you there, finally exploring the AntiShanty in person, and being even more impressed by it.
@@ANTISHANTY I've circled back around to this vid. Couple questions: in very cold conditions, do you plug the drainage channels? How much water do you reckon would have come in without the EWF on? Is it necessary? Also, is there any chance of having another vid shot from a second camera showing what all is entailed to deploy the fly? I'm trying to gauge if the fall exposure is manageable as its difficult to tell from the pov.
@@pytheus Hey Derek! Some customers choose not to deploy the EWF at all, others do. We will look into shooting a video from a different angle that shows it's deployment. Happy Trails!
I looks like you found a new and easier way to put the EWF on. IIRC, in a earlier video, you threw it over the fully opened top. What is the antenna on the front right side? It's been fun watching the Evolution of the AntiShanty. FYI, guy down the awning between the arms and make a "V" gutter so the water runs off it. If you let water pool on it, it can stretch the fabric.
Great question, in our research there is a lot of conflicting information on grounding and not grounding a trailer. If lightning were to strike, it will be very similar to a vehicle. We recommend doing your own research and using your discretion.
Is a full cover the only solution to those possible water entry points on the triangle ends? Curious why you didn’t just make some type of tarp window covering thing for each triangle that uses a similar system to rooftop tent windows that props the cover outward with a bendable rod. Seems like something that would take a lot less time to deploy and prevent water from hitting the triangular window pieces.
Hey Ryan, Thanks for your feedback and good thinking. We have been prototyping a similar solution, that will also integrate our screens. Details are TBD, but they can be seen deployed at the link below - th-cam.com/video/JJDDSwukwtY/w-d-xo.html Happy Trails!
@@ANTISHANTY So the new prototyping window tarps are for light rain? A valid concern in Texas is the dead of night pop up downpour and trying to deploy the EWF in the rainy torrent darkness.
@@pytheus The new triangle window and screen combos are working great. Texas rainstorms are no joke, so if you think weather is headed your way you may choose to deploy it. Happy Trails!
Great question! We have had customers install vertical standing fridges in their units. From the floor to the bottom of the counter is a little over 30". As long as you can run it on 12v and it is under that height, you should be ready to roll.
I've been watching several videos and saw a yellow model. Does this mean the color can be customizable? Also, I think if you got one of the panels of the roof to have/be a window, the campers will fly off the shelf!

Hey Michael! Thanks for your input, and great feedback. We appreciate you! Looking forward to Flagstaff!
The video we've all been waiting for! Thanks for taking our suggestions.
Glad it fits the bill! Thanks again for all the suggestions! Happy Trails!
Pretty awesome!! Thanks for a great vid! Its great to see a real application demo to be more able to gauge such.
Thanks Derek! We appreciate your feedback and Happy Trails!

@@ANTISHANTY Thanks!! You guys are the best!! More questions beg to be asked, namely, when is the EWF necessary, if ever?
Like it. Like it a lot! Love seeing that little one on a nice flowing single track Best video yet. Mountain memories to be had for sure.
Thanks Casey, glad you liked it and indeed it was a great time!
The heater sounds loud or is it the mic on the camera? Love the concept.

Thanks for the feedback and insight Bruce! The antenna is a cell booster. Good call on the awning and will give it a go next time!
Looks cool. What about lightening strikes? Is the Anti-Shsnty grounded.

Thanks for this video. Does the space where the Dometic chest freezer/fridge sit allow installation of a dorm fridge? Is it advisable?

Still my number one pick!!!🇺🇸
Thanks, Steve! Appreciate you!
Same here ..definitely moving up the ranks lol
we are looking for a mini projector…what brand is that one?
Kodak - So far so good!

Thanks for your feedback, David! We can custom wrap our units to fit folks desired look. Happy Trails!
Do you have any videos on temp control of the trailer with outside vs inside temp?
The heater has a thermostatic controller built into the unit. This allows you to set a temperature "range." Happy Trails!
How can we get one of those cutting boards?
Will look into it!
"Extreme weather fly"..uh you mean tarp? For the price shouldn't have to tarp your roof
No kodding
