    If you truly focus, things like that shouldn't bother you at all

    • @BearBlair
      @BearBlair ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I would agree with you, except for the fact that his voice was projected over the PA system there. So yes, about 90% of the time this shouldn't affect anyone who has good mental game.. but firstly its Sean Rash LOL, the King of bawks, and secondly it was probably HELLA loud. I mean we even heard it over the commentators microphones which are designed to only pick up audio within a certain vicinity (say a few feet or so.. maybe) - further driving the fact home that it was LOUD as SHIT. All-in-all, Sean's reaction, although it was pretty funny and relatable, was unacceptable.

    • @albertsampson6568
      @albertsampson6568 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BearBlair I would agree with you, but my observation at this point is.
      1. You can hear Ass Rash clearly over the microphone.
      2. You BARELY hear anything from the PA. And whatever was said was said accidentally and PA announcements are part of bowling alleys.
      This WHINER deserves it and shot himself perfectly in the foot for his POS usual attitude. I was watching with headphones and barely heard enough for any distraction. But it seems like this asshat finds every distraction in every alley he goes to. I hear bowlers complain every single tournament about his attitude when he's not winning. It needs to stop

    • @BornIn1500

      Nah. The more you focus, the more little noises and sounds throw people off. That's why pros like bowlers and golfers want silence. It's when you DON'T focus that noises don't bother you, like on league night and people are just having fun.

    • @chrisr3992
      @chrisr3992 ปีที่แล้ว

      @BornIn1500 I would disagree with you on this. Most noises don't bother me at all when I'm bowling even in tournaments. Unless it's something that happens right next to me or something like a bowler dropping a ball or slipping and falling on the lane next to me. The louder it is the easier it is for me. Guess growing up and playing sports in southern Cali where things are crazy competitive got use to noise.

    • @BornIn1500
      @BornIn1500 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@chrisr3992 Let's take the example of golf. Why do the best golfers in the world demand complete silence from the crowd? You can disagree, but it's not really a debate. When the best players demand silence for focusing, I think there's something to it.

      Not like one time in my League where the distraction is so unavoidable because there are 2 Ladies from a corporate event that just got done. Now, screaming casual bowlers is something to I can avoid from getting into my head but their screaming so high pitch that could nearly break a glass or made you go deaf. They kept screaming every single time even after their game is done and once I had enough of that, I pulled a Sean Rash anger at them but at least I wasn’t acting like a wild animal where I punch the bathroom door and cursing so loudly inside where everyone in the entire Bowling Center can hear me, otherwise I’ll end up on the News Headlines. After that moment, I don’t wanna act like a dictator but in my mind this is where I drew the red line against casual bowlers aside from property damage and doing stupid crap around Bowling Centers.

    Okay everyone calm down. This is a professional event. What do you do when you order food at a professional event? You stand by the concession stand and wait. The PA system should never be used during competition play. HOWEVER, that does not rationalize the reaction from Rash. What if someone else was up at the same time and kept going? Or backed off and reset? That's what Sean didn't take into consideration here. It was an accident, things happen. Keep it rolling. On top of that he caused what happened to him to happen to someone else, and he probably doesn't throw a 4-9 if he just stayed calm and reset. Sean committed cardinal sins of bowling and the bowling gods rightfully made him pay.

    Good job Sean. Way to step off, proceed to 4-9 because you don’t have the mental capacity to get over a distraction, and then continue to have your little outburst which distracted another bowler just like what happened to you. Class act. I feel like each time I’ve seen this guy in person he’s been the same way. At least he’s consistent I guess 🙄

    I swear Sean hears things 10 decibels louder than every other person, but I’ll be fair, ordering your food over the PA is really fucking terrible for all of these pro bowlers.

      I cheered for Rash until I met him in Columbus Ohio in 2009. He was arrogant and cocky to me. It was the Don Johnson Eliminator. He is my least favorite bowler too. I got a picture with him too. I got home and erased it from my digital camera.

    People shoot 300 during packed loud league night all the time.

    • @skidhookroll
      @skidhookroll  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah but that environment is constantly loud. This is more like a tennis or golf match. Any noise that breaks the normal din could be distracting. Plus, this is his living, not league. It means more.

    every bowling center has a snack bar and it happens everywhere. it shouldn't be a surprise, especially to pros that spend so much time bowling... accept it and get over it.. stop acting like its golf

    It would be nice if Rash could mention his family without balling like a baby once. We get it. You love your kids. You're not special, dude. Cowboy up just a little bit, its uncomfortabke at best.
