nice to see you being able to double up on the crop! winter feed, and summer planting! I have not heard about “doubling up” on planting before, good luck hope it works out well for you, take care and be safe out there!
Cows grazed it into the spring so that hurt it a little as expected then yes as soon as we pulled the cows off got really dry and never gave it a chance
At 50 seconds into this video i see what looks to be a block heater coming out of that manifold right under and behind exhaust on motor? Is that a block heater on your combine? I really need one for my L3!
@@knappfarms could u look by chance? Im needing to find the spot where the block heater goes. And i dont wanna wrestle around with a freeze plug style one. Mine has a plug but i thought that was the intake manifold.
I will try and remember to look at work now so can’t go out but next time I’m by it I’ll try and shoot a little video to show it and throw it in a video for you
It didn't catch fire!!! What a treat
Yeah that’s never a good thing
so good the combine is still going after the wheat , and good plan to double crop , wish we could do that

We are a little far north for it not common but I think we can pull it off
Looks like a great video, I’ll be watching it this evening when I get home. We’ve been doing wheat with our M3.
How’s your wheat going
@@knappfarms we finished ours today, gotta do a neighbors tomorrow
I'm in West TN and our double crop beans usually make around 50 bushels acre
Yeah I don’t think we will do that good with how far north we are but wanted to give it a try
Nice
Do you ever use rye for cover crop? We grow about 20 acres and sell it to some farmers who use it for cover crop.
I have seems like it’s normally more expensive then wheat that’s why I went with the wheat
@@knappfarms oh ok 👍
Why did the wheat do poorly? Too dry?

How much land do you farm.
Ugh, it’s hard to see the fire footage again. Poor ol’ Gleaner.
That’s for sure

I believe it is a block heater yes some of our m and L series have them some don’t but I’d imagine there is just a plug in the ones that don’t
