    The one about the girl not being able to speak or express her opinion at school makes me suspicious. I wonder if there's something going on at home that they don't want her to talk about

    Ok so technically this might seem like my mom is a helicopter parent but there is a good reason.
    So every school year before it starts, my mom meets with the principal and or assistant principal, counselor and teachers that I’m going to have but I don’t meet them I just me meet the counselor and the principals, they talk about me having to sit near the front or in the front row of class, now it sounds like the one where the mother demanded her daughter be put in the front of class, well I have to sit in the front of class because I have ADHD and Aspergers Syndrom, so it just gets complicated from there, I actually end up getting well liked by the teachers because I’m one of the few in the class that actually listen and do my work, without my mom doing this for me, I would be doing online school now

      does not sound like a helicopter mom to me but a mom who knows at least somewhat knows how her child's mind and attention span works and wants to give the school handhelds to make it easier for both of you. this way they know how to handle you, how to keep you interested and do your best and you don't have to suffer feeling being considered a burden just because you're a little different.

    Second story makes me wish that the Parents of the Threatened children found about the Mother's death threats, and gave her MAJOR crap for it! If that's not grounds for her to press charges of some kind, then I don't know what is! What On Earth was she seriously going to do? Hire a hitman to go after those children? I'm legitimately curious want went through her mind for her to think that.

  • @UncleMikeDrop
    @UncleMikeDrop 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    When helicopter parents say they don't want their children to voice their opinions lest they be marked down by a teacher, it's likely a cover for the fact that the parents don't really want their children to have opinions. They just want to hear their own opinions in a younger voice.

    Not a teacher or worker, but my MOTHER is the perfect example of a helicopter parent and someone who made my youngest sibling the golden child (no matter what she said, he was clearly her favorite and didn't care about any of her other kids).
    Outside of being emotional, verbal and mentally abusive, gaslighting, a TYPICAL Christian hypocrite, narcissistic, possibly schizophrenic (I don't know that for sure, but it seems likely), and eventually a drunk, she was an EXREMELY selfish woman and always paranoid.
    Every time my youngest brother did something to anyone, it was ALWAYS their fault or she'd find some reason to justify why he did it to them. If he was looking up or saying inappropriate things, it was "because you guys taught him that" (even though she let him and never told hi anything). If he was screaming and calling me some of the most HORRIBLE things (because I was his punching bag), she just let it happen and then kept her mouth shut the entire time (oh but she definitely saw and heard everything whenever anyone was talking back to him), and ANYONE who dared discipline or even slightly raise their voice at him became the enemy to mom. All of this would happen RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER and it was a RECURRING THING, and she still pretended her precious baby was a good person and never did anything wrong. Oh but she STILL had the balls to whine and complain how "nOboDy LoVeS mY bAbY" instead of learning from it.
    A great example of this was when she viciously yelled at me for talking to the neighbors across the street, because she "stopped talking to them" even though I literally never knew that ever. Why did she stop talking to them, and wanted nothing to do with them anymore? Because the neighbor's daughter committed the mortal sin of raising her voice at her precious baby. Why did she raise her voice at him? He and her brother were playing in the middle of the street, and they weren't moving out of the way of an incoming car. Yeah, that's why she wasn't talking to nobody in that family anymore, even though the girl explained to her she didn't want them to get hit by a car; but mom didn't care about that because how dare that girl raise her voice at him, even though she actually prevented a possibly injury or even death from it. That same girl once called me a "gay faggot" in front of my group of friends, but while upset my mom that wasn't enough to get her to stop talking to them, and in fact I think she outright forgot that was ever mentioned to her.
    That's not the worst of it from my mom and little brother, but probably the best example of the case. She was an absolutely HORRIBLE human being to live and be raised by, and I'm glad I stopped talking to her months back (it took me over a decade to see that, because I spent too much of that still trying to be loved by her).

    In secondary school my Mom was a teacher where I went, and in year 7 there was a rumour that a kid has his behaviour points (essentially like demerits or something) taken off because his mother paid the school. I asked my Mom about it and he had about 20, but the thing is that this was a few weeks after the rumours, and I later heard from someone who had talked to the kid that it actually happened.
    I'm still wondering how his mother felt about that.

    About the earring thing, I got a cartilage piercing from Claire's in the summer of 2019 and I got tiny little gold diamond earrings. However, they weren't worth more than $100 as the whole bill was about $170. Gold studs with real diamonds are an option these days, but they heavily recommend normal stainless steel.

    This doesn’t relate to this, but relates to school.
    I like to wear knee-high socks. I think they look nice, that’s literally it. I’m going to lunch, my math teacher stops in the middle of the hallway and does that stance that says, “you’re in for some shit” so I stop and say hello. He asks me, “How many pairs of long socks do you have?” I am still confused and have him for the rest of the year. He has said nothing about it. Should I be worried? Was he trying to start a conversation? Was he just curious? Why?

    • @hesseldekraai
      @hesseldekraai 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      is that the end of the story? Maybe he was just curious about how you managed to wear long socks for so many days in a row. It might be that he is worried that you are wearing the same few long socks day after day which would be kinda disgusting. I dont think you have to worry about anything unless he starts to say mean spirited things about your clothing style or if there is some kind of clothing code you are breaking by wearing those socks.
