9/3/2020 Ooooo, Momma, this is so delicious. It has been a while since I made it. The 1st and 2ns time it was gobbled up as a side dish. My husband is out of state, it is my adult son and two grandkids. We had a busy day doing errands, going to one of the farms and getting just picked produce. Came home and after putting all the groceries away, we were all tired. Trying to figure out what to make and my grandson yelled out "that best mac and cheese you make!" My granddaughter helped me make it. I cooked 6 slices of bacon and crumbled them on top as it cooled. Let me tell you Momma and Marshall, it was absolutely the very best!! That recipe made enough for 2 adults, a 14 yr old, and an "almost 11" yr old! I am so glad I found your page! Thank you again, and stay safe. May God keep blessing you and your family.

We all were devastated when she passed, she was the anchor in our family. Sadly, everything changed after she was gone. Tonight I made YOUR mac & cheese to bring to Thanksgiving dinner at my momma & daddy's tomorrow. Took a taste. That was the same taste. I dbld the recipe, absolutely amazing. Thank goodness Momma Joyce didn't add egg to her macaroni and cheese, I don't like what egg does to mac and cheese. And she took the white sauce off the heat before adding the cheese, good cooks know that.

We didn't use cream cheese in the south because we didn't buy it? And never did we put flour in our macaroni! We layer it with cheese over each row.
