Pretty good story, seems like a nice change of pace to have a darker and more serious tone to it, but they did a pretty good job of letting Velvet's human side come through at choice moments to help develop her character
The scenes for the final battle for Rokuro and Shigure are so fucking good. The way Shigure just starts off handing his weapon, never fearing that it would not be given back, he makes himself so vulnerable just knowing, his brother is too good for that crap. The reveal that Shigure doesn't actually use Exorcist powers. The cutscene fight, and the request to let the cat go. It's all so perfect
Velvet is the best female character in any game. Next time I play the game, I will with English voices, her desperation when she questions Arthur why he killed Laphicet, when she demands him to answer, really touches me. I think it's one of the best stories in any game, as well.
Velvet’s story still saddens me till this day, especially when she’s tormented in her dreams but suppresses her emotions. Ik it’s just a game but damn the pain gets more relatable every year. Anyway still love this game and it’s good story❤

As great as this is, you really should’ve added the skits. So much of the story is missing because they were spoken in the numerous skits throughout the game. I’ve watched the entire game before and remember quite a bit of different parts that aren’t discussed in this video, but it just feels so broken.

@@pentraksil I think in terms of revenue, to put it into perspective, the entire tales of series has made similar revenues to just breath of the wild when you add it all up. I guess dude thinks like 1 billion is underrated. In a sense it is compared to other jrpgs like final fantasy
The story yes. The game itself has strong flaws in my opinion. I couldnt finish it so I am here to watch the rest of the really engaging story. It was amazing
After zestiria 2nd anime, they technically showed a text that says "to be continued" which probably means Sorey's journey isn't over yet. In fact, he still hasn't fulfilled his promise to Edna of purifying Eizen. Keep in mind, at the end, there's a scene of new shepherd with Laliah. I'm not sure exactly where they're heading with new guy.
This made me cry so many times I couldn't count. This took me 3 days to finish and it was worth it! Thank goodness for these videos on youtube. Theres so many RPGs I aint ever gonna try because 1. I don't have time, 2. difficulty of game or 3. not available to purchase that I just wanna watch the storylines and thats about it. This is one of my favorite Tales game and its pretty much my 3rd time going into this video and rewatching it. Gripping, dark themed and well-casted characters, Magilou being my entertainment source here. LOL.

@@aeroga2383 Yeah the animation is great, just the script is kinda meh. Tales series is made by the same company that made Elden ring and Dark Souls so the finance is not an issue for them. My fav anime so far is Mushoku Tensei, perverted but great.

@@agarciahunter okay but i walked into a cutscene once and i had them all wearing eyepatches and every close up of rokurou looked like he was wearing elvis sunglasses, every time there was a side view they had no eyes,, laphi looked like a mini me of eizen,, the regret was real
+BTS got me like 'yah' Yeah and I at one point had rokurou where the eyepatch because since his hair covers about half of his face. Made it look like he had no eyes. Called him the blind swordsman. I then got the noise canceling headphones and put those on him as well. Now he's the deafly blind swordsman.

Thanks, couldnt finish the game cause I found the combat really boring, frustrating and tedious. The story and characters were so good I played the last 10 hours suffering through the combat... Now I can finally see how the story ends, it was great! Hope next Tales learn follow the amazing story and implement different combat systems.

I couldnt finish the game even tho i was SOOO close to reaching the ending (stupid me thinking playing it on hard mode in my first tales game playthrough would be rewarding hahahah) but the story and the cast and the skits are everything to me. I feel like this game deserves more recognition from its story and cast alone.

This game I was thought was going to give me the ending I wanted from a Japanese game it had so much promise but in the end it shot me. I was happy with it but in the end I am still left with a sad ending just like every other Japanese game I have ever seen no she may not have died but she is left with a even worse fate to have her and her brother consume each other for ever so that her brothers fragment can live. I just found it sad. So this is how my only hope for a Japanese game to ever give me the happy ending I wanted. P.s. I am sorry if I made this confusing for anyone who reads this.😭😢

As I know Velvets longer hair is more expensive to animate. Same reason Tangled got a cheap 2D sequel. But I agree Berseria>Zestiria
