    One of my favorite things about a character who doesn't swear often, is the impact of when they DO actually swear.

    Girl! I think I'm going to be re-watching this when I get overwhelmed with my writing process and I want to say thank you. I know I'm sitting here writing detailed notes a rewinding so I can rewrite the notes again just to make sure I got all the information. You definitely got me thinking on the way I should be writing my story or basically my story telling.

    Ahh Giana I really love you and this view in to your writng process and Character crafting. You really put a lot love and thinking in the Charater names and it makes your storys so amazing. With Charachternames their meaning I'm same. Cuase sometimes Names lead me Images and character treats. and everything.

    As an aspiring author, who is currently working on book 1 of a quartet series, this video has helped me so much! A lot of the time I'm wondering, "will the audience get this?" "Will the audience see what I see?" and this video is exactly what I needed. I'm such a big fan of the Fallen MC, thank you G! ❤

    I’ve been waiting for this! Give me allll the knowledge I am a sponge to your wisdom 💜 also how are you? The only person who could pull off wearing a hat and a dress and still look top-tier adorable if I would try that I would look homeless 🤣

    This was so helpful! Thank you. It helped me realise I was getting too focused on developing the plot when I need to spend more time with my characters 😅. Do you have any tips for new writers to develop the basics of crafting a story and writing? Are there any recommended courses?

      Inkers Con and Alessandra Torre's website are great resources. Join author groups on Facebook to talk with people in the same boat as you. Read On Writing by Stephen King and Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott

    I feel as if I know your characters, I want to invite them over for a drink and banter.
    I love hearing about your writing process. More videos like this, are welcome as well, I want to know all....😅
    I wonder if you have had to walk away from a character for a time?
    When do you decide when a side character has more of a story to tell?

    • @gianadarlingauthor
      @gianadarlingauthor  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great questions! I have walked away from characters before but always with the intention to go back to them one day. Once I know them, I love them and have a hard time letting them go.
      As for side characters, because I care so much about fully formed characters in general, so many of my side characters COULD have their own story. The deciding factors are whether they resonate with the readers or not and if their story would have a good impact on the overall plot of a series.

      I have playlist for all my books and even just my book ideas! I love to listen to music to get in the mood for writing and then when I write certain scenes to help evoke emotion.

    Hey Gianna how do you come up with your characters

    • @gianadarlingauthor
      @gianadarlingauthor  หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you watched the video, that is part of the process! But they usually come to me pretty much fully formed and I just have to get to know them
