The per pack value of PC ETBS is way lower due to the stamped promos. It basically makes them free. Logic isn't logicing for me there. 10 years down the road you could literally open the ETB sell the promo and make the packs cost basically nothing.
loved the latest video 🙂 awesome! could you please as a team discuss what S&V sets are more "playable" within the TCG & which are not so. this would give people like me a bit of an insight into which sets might get more or less printed and what to look out for in the future when picking "less printed sets"
It's awesome to see this Podcast taking off. Re: ETB's i get both sides of it. I think about products in terms of price/pack as well. But for stamped promos I feel like the equation kinda gets thrown out the window. Will be interesting to see what the long term demand for these cards, and exclusive PC ETBs will be

I whole heartedly understand what you said and do not blame any card shop owner for selling at market, but to me It really does not matter who was the first mover, distribution or card shops. If I were the Pokemon Company I would want my products to have a chance to get to the end consumers hand at MSRP, period. LGS and the distributors that supply to them are not making that happen, so what would I do? Just change my allotments to be more towards big box, where I know it will go for MSRP, and Target is already helping to prevent the by definition scalping. Big Box Stores are the Solution. Again not trying to throw blame, but these allocations are low not only because distribution is holding some back, or because there are more people with distro access, but because The Pokemon Company chose to give them less.
The information and the different views you guys provide in these videos is so insightful, I appreciate it. Regarding the numbers for the pokemon center ETB inventory displayed during 40:30 , do these numbers represent the amount of all pokemon center etbs of a set ever printed or is it only numbers for a certain regional pokemoncenter website like for example US or Canada? Is it known which regions / pokemoncenters does not get pokemon center ETBs cause I know that some do not but I do not know which does or which doesn't. The numbers for the pokemon center etbs shown is great to see though. Seeing actual numbers and getting an idea of how many are produced and knowing that the number for sealed is less then that amount cause many are opened makes it feel even better buying and holding them.
Card shop owners find themselves in a lose-lose situation. If they charge market value for a product, they're often accused of pricing too high. Meanwhile, distributors are increasing their prices due to rising market demand. This leaves shop owners with little choice but to pass the cost onto consumers in order to stay profitable.
Sometimes. I had a store near me that just matched prices to the bigger store down the street. During celebrations they wanted $50 for a $20 product. That wasn’t even market price. It’s just what they wanted. That shop no longer exists.
Thanks for the analysis! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
In sales but LGS that have play spaces are unique in what they offer and how they build community. Tabletop Village in Seattle and some of the other big sellers/LGS’ are great examples of what that looks like and how how GameStop can’t actually compete with.
