Its beautiful you can also purchase a corn starch baby powder as well ,it works well for shiny and for stickiness as well , thank you for sharing this info
Hi Julie! Just tip a bit of powder into the lid. Then use the brush in the lid for just a little at a time. Excess goes back into the container when you put the lid back on. Hope that helps. 👶🏻❤️💕
Maybe it depends upon who makes the affordable full body silicone as to what texture you get. Sammy & my new Auria are both Ivita fbs. Neither arrived sticky. Now that I think about it Sapphire who is a Cosdoll fbs didn't arrive sticky either. I've had Sapphire for 3 yrs. She's been powdered maybe 3 times tops. I've had Sammy 2 yrs & he's only been lightly powdered twice. I dress them fairly often & I handle them quite a bit. I've had to powder them about once per year & that is more because I wanted to than I needed to do so. I use baby powder with cornstarch & not had an issue.
Thanks, I just bought some of that powder. My silicone baby Sophie was on your FB page about 2 weeks ago. I bought her from Amazon and rooted her with mohair. I had rerooted so many Barbie dolls over the years for my vintage collection. So I thought why not. I was so pleased w/her I bought an open eyes silicone from the same company.
I want to clarify that it is a lot cheaper for Americans to buy in Canada than it is for Canadians to buy in the USA……for ever American dollar, Canadians have to pay $0.35….so $1.00 USD = $1.35 CAD
Leave the screen thing in. When you need more powder give just a tap or so, or one tip sideways to let just a little in the space then use. I have a screen like that in some of the moulage make up I use. It actually saves you
I hear of some people using baby powder, cornstarch and baby powder with cornstarch. None of those are recommended because, over time those products will break down the silicone and cause even bigger issues.
@@THECOUNTRYCOTTAGE thank you. Wow you have lots of variety and different artists. Thankyou. I will have the money in a few months time. I'm so excited 😊❤️❤️❤️❤️😍🥰
She’s a cutie! I just looked up your page and it said 0 dolls from 0 nurseries, so not sure what’s going on, but I didn’t see Primrose listed. As far as budget silicone dolls go, I think the silicone varies. I’ve got some that powder sticks to, and some it doesn’t. I’ve never tried Just Matte, but I have Silicone Velvet, so not sure what the problem is.

Great advice on the Matte Powder. I’ll have to try it out. ❤

Dropping in to hang out at The Country Cottage a while 🤗

Will it still stick without using the clear silicone first?

I love Primrose ❤
She is cute. I have looked at Mary Shortle for dolls. I think it is a good option to find nice silicone dolls for a decent price.
