    so as you go down group 2 it becomes more reactive but as you go down group 7 it becomes less reactive?

    For the exceptions with Florine bond enthalpy's, could it also be due to the repulsion between the protons as well?

      Yes repulsion from protons in nucleus will have the same effect.

    as youngo down the group, the bond gets easier to break will the melting point becomes lower? how can the melting point decreases? Thank you very much !
