Car hoods have the especially hard life of being exposed to heat from the Sun, heat from the engine and all the heat from the radiator and AC condenser, they're used as shelves by people handling packages and groceries, they have minimal support and they're right out there for everyone to see, so they have to look good. ... HOW do you break a Lancaster stretcher!? hmmm... Come to think of it, I do have a friend who broke an anvil... Keep having fun Nick!
thank you for the video i spray the area with weld through primer then use a scribe to scratch a line nice clean single line ps you are one class act pps do you not have a resistance spot welder i know the door stop as a check strap

The urathane windshield would match the side glass ... but if you have to use the rear seal then those two would match ... guess either way would look right ... if I had a dollar for everytime I got my glove caught in the seam I could afford to have you do my body work ... I gettin axnious ... lets get crackin ...
@@danielbuckner2167 Yup, you got it! Forgot to mention that earlier... late night last night. The original glass was shot, all fogged up and cracked, so new glass will be cut for the windshield, doors and 1/4 windows. We're into the home stretch! 😃
Yes to the hood, just leave a camera on the whole time. No private moments for you! Is it worth getting a cheap shrinker/stretcher set versus some Lancasters -for the hobbyist?
Cheap ones last about 5 minutes and can create a lot of frustration...parts are soft. If you look after a quality set they last and once you're done they hold their value for resale. This shrinker dates back to 2008ish purchased new.
May I please put my vote in relative to your witty speaking style. I get a big kick out of it and would hate to see you putting a wet blanket on your delivery for the sake of the grouches. What about companies that bend glass for a clean front windshield with a bend down the middle. California Glass Bending is one.

How does that urethane work as far as window trim or is the trim eliminated by nature of that installation?
Hi Daniel, we're deleting the trim. Glass will be gapped to the surrounding area.
