Bro Mack Taunton is one of the finest tenors in Gospel music. The Cathedral’s were a pioneer quartet in Gospel music. They do this beloved old hymn justice
Ain't nothing better than this group of good Godly men singing about Jesus!!! There the best of the best and sure miss them everyday but will get to see them again Real soon!!!
As far as I'm concerned, your Dad is one of the 3 or 4 greatest tenors in gospel music history. For me, in their prime it's Mack Taunton, Johnny Parrack, Danny Funderburke, Chris Allman, and Terry Franklin (even though he didn't sing very long). I'm talking about guys with such amazing voices they could sing in any genre and be successful. And your dad is probably the only one of that group who ever sang other parts. Let him know he's been a blessing to God's people
@@jamestaunton566 : I also loved your Dad's power, projection. humor, kindness and his beautiful smile that told the world about JESUS' Love! Such a natural Christian man.
Whenever I miss my grandpas voice (he lives far and we don’t get to talk much anymore) I always turn this video on. Papa Mack truly is such a genuine sweet soul.
George Webster was a friend of mine. I booked them. I even drove George around our City Decatur IL. George fell down the steps in a Church in Decatur Il that started his downfall

There were greats and still are.
Imagine hearing this in heaven live. Perfect ears.... Perfect voices.
I go to church with Mack. What a blessing he is. He is a true christian man and is an inspiration to me. God bless you Mack!

Someone mentioned that Mack passed away. Is this true?
My absolute, hands down, all time favorite Southern Gospel group.

Mack is my father, use to travel the country with him on week ends help set up sound and generally just get in the way.
Hi James. thanks for replying, great to have you on here!!!! What s you Dad doing these days, does he still sing?
James. i also have all the Cathedrals albums your Dad sang on! Great stuff. Nothing against Bobby Clark, but i lacked Mack's tone better.

The tall fellow wore the wrong suit. It was Grey Suit Day. Someone didn't get the memo.
I heard this first from Jimmy Swaggart in a little slow tempo
Is Mack a Lyric Tenor? Or a Spinto?
@American Trilogy Thank you so much! I thought he was a lyric tenor, because I saw leggero tenors lighter than him.
awesome
