  • Metal tracks require special treatment and it's easy to ruin them with poor "burnishing" fluids or home-made concoctions. With VMS Black Track Pro, a proven blackening system you are guaranteed that your tracks will to look amazing!
    USE: 1. Put on protective gloves and eye protection. Pour blackening fluid into a receptacle. 2. Using tweezers submerge compatible tracks in the fluid for 5-10 min. Disperse any air pockets using a brush! Flip the tracks and again disperse any air pockets, allow another 5-10 min. Once the tracks are blackened to your satisfaction take them out, rinse with running water and dry using a paper towel and hair dryer. 3. Burnish the tracks using a shortened stiff flat hog brush (scrubber brush) or a soft metal brush to achieve the likeness of steel. Tested on tracks by Friulmodel and Masterclub. Tracks by other brands may react different - you proceed at your own risk! When in doubt test on a single track to check if compatible.

    I have bought and tried several of your products and they are very good. (Thanks to Night Shift for introducing VMS's products in their video.)
    However, I would be happy if there were English subtitles for TH-cam that could be translated if possible...

    I just purchased some from Michigan Toy Soldier. Your products are amazing! One question, can you reuse the fluid?

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a lot for your support Jonathan! You can reuse the product as long as it blackens, when it stops bluing you will know it's time for a new portion. Best regards, Chris

    INCREDIBLE..... and a large volume of soln!!!
    In burnishing products that I have examine.....why should I get yours!???? Serious question, don't mean to knock your product, but I must admit, you do have a larger volume of the solution than "other brands". Is it REALLY that easy??? I have several armor models, but Never made a metal track...let alone a BLACKEN one!!!
    Does your link provide metal track products for Various tanks????

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a lot for your comment, the product is easy to use just as you see in the video, add some pigments as we show in the end and you are golden! :) Pro modelers like LPJ models and Night Shift use our solution too. :) Our solution works with Friulmodel tracks and Masterclub tracks - these companies make tracks for most tracked vehicles. Hello this one is one bottle - improved formula, no need for degreasing and hot water or activator, although you may still use activator if you have some - won't hurt. :)

    Very nice! I have a Heng Long M1A2 Abrams R/C tank with metal tracks that I'm going to be doing this procedure on. It's going to an interesting challenge as 1. The full scale Abrams has two large rubber pads per link. I'm thinking that once blackened to be careful not to burnish the section that is supposed to represent the rubber. 2. I've looked over a number of pictures of real Abrams tracks, and they really don't seem to get very rusty. Earth tones on the other hand are pretty abundant. I take it the procedure is going to be the same? Any thoughts or suggestions?
    Also, can the burnishing fluid be reused?

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the rubber pads are cast metal integral to the links then best paint them with good enamels such as Revell, Model master, Humbrol, after you are done burnishing. These may still scratch a bit while the tank is rolling but should withstand some punishment. Tracks get rusty only when a tank is not frequently used so you may skip the rust part if you aim for tracks that are in constant use. Best of luck! Chris

      You mean like with the blackening fluid instead of water? If so this could prove to be a faster and more efficient process. Good thinking.

    I found this after watching a recent Night Shift video, and a thought occurred to me: could this be used for surface prep for painting metal gaming miniatures, either before applying, or instead of, a primer coat? Paint jobs on metal minis tend to be notoriously fragile, so I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on such an application, or if it would be a bad idea for reasons that may not be obvious to someone unfamiliar with such materials...

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Andrew, For priming metal you can try this th-cam.com/video/_U4A92rxxe0/w-d-xo.html and after you paint the minis apply 1-3 coats of varnish: th-cam.com/video/J5XdutTX4NA/w-d-xo.html Chris

    Witam serdecznie. Takie pytanie. Czy Wasz produkt jest "kompatybilny" z Friulmodel? Pytam ponieważ używam AK track burnishing fluid i ostatnio zauważyłem że ma lekką "czkawkę" na Friul pomimo odtłuszczania w occie i płukania w ciepłej wodzie bez żadnych dodatków.
    Z góry dziękuję za odpowiedź i pozdrawiam.

    How durable is it? Will it hold up to rc tank tracks with a bit of driving? I know it will wear down a little bit but that will be good.

    • @Vmssupplies
      @Vmssupplies  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will hold normally in the recesses and polish up on the edges which will make it look very authentic. Chris
